French Enduro Championship round 3

McLoc Larrieu shows dominance in Bar-sur-Seine

Putting in a dominant performance in Bar-sur-Seine, Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team rider Loc Larrieu wrapped up round three of the French Enduro Championship claiming two emphatic Enduro 2 class victories. Winning 16 out of 18 special tests in the 450cc class during the weekend, the Frenchman was also the fastest outright rider on both days of competition.

Following a challenging EnduroGP of Portugal, Loc was eager to keep his winning streak going in the 2017 French Enduro Championship. Getting an imposing race pace from the start of day one, he enjoyed a solid and mistake-free weekend of racing in Bar-sur-Seine. Remaining unbeaten in the series, he currently has a 26-point advantage at the top of the Enduro 2 French Championship standings with two rounds to go.

Feeling great aboard his WR450-F machine at the moment, Loc now has his eyes set on a good performance as part of France's World Trophy Team at the 2017 International Six Days Enduro that will take place in Brive, France on August 28 to September 2.

Marc Bourgeois - Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team manager

"It was a very important race weekend for us, as it helped Loc regain total confidence in his ability to win. We were really looking forward to this race and it turned out it was a great one for us. Following a tough GP in Portugal, where Loc was unable to show his true potential, it was a good morale boost to go out there and claim two imposing victories. We really believe Loc will be equally strong in the upcoming ISDE on our home soil in France. As for Loc's teammate Jamie McCanney, we decided to let Jamie to get some well-deserved rest. With only six points separating Jamie from the top of the Enduro2 World Championship standings and two rounds to go, our goal is to do everything possible so that he secures the title. This weekend I will be making a return to one of my favourite classic enduro events here in France, the Aveyronnaise Classic. I will be racing my WR250F and despite limited time to train and properly prepare myself, the goal is to fight for the podium."

"Getting these two victories has been a big relief for me. Struggling to find my speed in Portugal, I decided to simply focus on myself this weekend and do my own races. I'm really happy I managed to remain fast and not make mistakes during the weekend. I had a great feeling on the WR450F and it's positive that I also managed to be the fastest outright rider on both days. After a small break, my plan is to resume my training and preparations for the ISDE. I'm confident we could battle for a great overall result there with the French World Trophy Team. From my side, the goal is to give it 100% staying focused until the end of the event."

The Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team are excited to welcome two members of the Japanese World Trophy Team for the 2017 International Six Days Enduro in Brive. Taking advantage of our assistance services, we will make sure these two riders will enjoy the best support throughout the event. We would like to wish Marc Bourgeois good luck at the Aveyronnaise Classic. Stay tuned to our Facebook page this afternoon at 17:00pm for a small surprise from our team...
