Welsh ISDE 2008 teams announced Report by Jeff Edwards

Welsh Team Managers Gemma Williams and Mike Davies have announced the 2008 ISDE teams

Wales A. Andrew Edwards, Tim Forman and Jon Hinam

The A Team has a long spread of Six Day experience. Andrew has 11 completed Six Days under his belt, 3 Welsh Team rides and the rest as Trophy or Junior trophy, Tim has 3 whilst John is the baby at just 1.

Wales B. Craig Bounds, Gethin Price and Dave Brick. Reserve Gareth Hopkins

The B Team again has a range of experience. Craig has 6 events under his belt, Gethin and David with 1 each.

No final details yet on the class of bike they are riding but for the moment Andrew will definitely on his KTM125 (E1) Tim - Kawa 250 (E2) John - KTM 250F (E1) Craig - Sherco 250F (E1) Gethin- Honda 450F (E2) David - Kawa 125 (E1)

The squad has been loaned a lorry by Gwyn Probert of County Kerry and plan to transport bikes and equipment out in a container loaned by K T & A Williams. The remainder of the riders and support crew will be flying out to the event.

The Welsh Teams Fundraising efforts at the Welsh 2 Day went well - many thanks to all the riders who supported us with our time card sales and raffle. Generous donations are continuing to come in and thanks to G E Woodlands, Rumours Nightclub, John Begley , Welsh Motorcycle Federation, Dyfed Dirt Bike Club, B & D Kitchens for your support.

For those people that keep an eye on the Welsh Six Day Teams Website, it's temporally disappeared into that big black hole. A new site is under development over the next few weeks so keep an eye out for the new Web Address.
