G2F
Media welcomes Shaun Simpson
G2F Media is delighted to welcome rising World motocross star Shaun Simpson to its fold. The North West based management agency will be responsible for all aspects of Simpson's commercial affairs, as well as dealing with all relevant media matters. The highly personable twenty year old from Gauldry, Fife, Scotland currently leads the MX2 Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship and holds an impressive fourth place in the overall standings of this year's MX2 FIM World championship. G2F Media were the obvious choice for Simpson, with them having previously acted on behalf of World motocross rider Gordon Crockard, multi World enduro champion Paul Edmondson, World junior trials champion James Dabill as well as having enjoyed a ten year long relationship with twelve times World trials champion Dougie Lampkin. The young Scot joins G2F Media at an important point in his sporting career, with Shaun well on course for reaching his self imposed interim targets of winning the 2008 national series and achieving a top ten World ranking this season. Jake Miller from G2F Media spoke about their recent recruitment of Britain's most promising motocross talent. "We have been following Shaun's progress with real interest over the last couple of seasons. However whilst we knew he had the right credentials for winning on the track, it was only after meeting him in person at the British MXGP earlier this year that we realised he had an equally great personality to compliment his speed." "With his father being an ex racer, he has all the right groundings too, in a similar way to Dougie (Lampkin) and he certainly has had his feet kept firmly on the floor. We have been looking at taking another motocross rider on board for sometime, and in Shaun we have found someone who has the overall package that is so important to sponsors, the media and the fans alike." "We are very excited about working with Shaun, and hope that we can have a long and successful relationship with him as he continues to climb the ladder in pursuit of his ultimate goal of becoming World champion." Concluded Miller. Speaking from South Africa, Simpson commented. "Going forward I need a good team around me if I am to achieve my life long dream of becoming World champion. I will need to have the best bike, the best mechanic, the best trainer plus the best people to look after my interests away from the track. G2F Media came highly recommended to me by people I already work with and trust, so it was a relatively easy decision. The good news is that with G2F Media now working on my behalf, I can concentrate on my riding and leave the rest to them." Shaun finished by saying. "They seem to have done a good job for Dougie, and I am sure they will do a great job for me too. Lets just hope I can be as successful as he has been over his career, and then we will all be very happy. " |
