SUDBURY MOTOR CYCLE CLUB
After three rounds of the G H Motorcycles / Husqvarna / Eastern Centre
Enduro Championship it is time to look at the positions of the 2015 Team
Dave Roper Challenge.
The Dave Roper Memorial Fund was set up by the Roper Family and the
Sudbury Motor Cycle Club after his untimely death in 2009 in order to help,
encourage and support Sudbury members between 15 and 21 years of age. It is
based on the rounds of the Eastern Centre Contest but has its own scoring
system in the hope it will encourage the riders to finish events and if they
do they score points. Initially there were five members but Euan Millar had
to withdraw through injury. Alex Rampton leads the Challenge on 299 points
with Ryan McDonnell 2nd 290 points, Ben Roper 3rd 256 points and Nathan
Greenaway 4th 174 points.
There a few changes in Round 3 results at Foxborough Quarry, Phil Waldron
(Sudbury) credit with winning the Clubman Veteran Class has now been placed
into the correct Class Expert Veteran and took 13th place. This means all
the riders originally behind him move up a place and this give a first win
in the Clubman Veteran Class to a surprised and happy Jason Carsboult
(Sudbury) which now puts him 4th in the Class Contest overall only eight
points behind the leader and four points behind fellow Sudbury member Dean
Curry. Carsboult is hoping to capitalise on his win in the next round on
14th June at Home Farm Little Hadham Herts being organised by the Sudbury
Club.
