Bel-Ray Husqvarna Gear Up For EWC GP of Greece
Husqvarna Motorcycles enter round four of the Enduro World
Championship in Serres, Greece aiming to continue their successful 2015
campaign.
It’s the event that marks the halfway point in this year’s EWC
championship and one the Bel-Ray Husqvarna Factory Racing team are
approaching in high spirits. The GP of Greece is set to be a long, hot and
demanding with all team riders looking to repeat wins or podium finishes
across all classes.
On his first season aboard Husqvarna’s TE 300, Mathias Bellino
currently leads the standings in the highly-competitive Enduro 3 class.
After a tough GP in Portugal Bellino is ready to return to his winning form
this weekend. On more than one occasions this year the Frenchman has shown
that on a good day he can deliver start-to-finish victories, which is
exactly what he is looking to try to repeat in Serres.
With three GPs already in the books Manxman Danny McCanney holds third
place overall in the Enduro 1 class standings and is looking to improve on
that in Serres. A confidence-boosting third place on day two of the last
race in Portugal has given Danny an encouraging push to fight for podium
success in Greece.
Defending Enduro 2 champion Pela Renet arrives in Serres with the clear
goal of fighting for the class win – the only podium result missing from
his 2015 season so far. A key player in what has become one of the most
heated E2 class battles of recent years, Renet hasn’t once finished
outside the podium in all six days of competition held so far. Holding
second place in the class standings Renet enters the Greek round with high
expectations.
Jamie McCanney heads into the GP of Greece focused on success having lead
the Enduro Juniors class championship standings from day one. After six
races this season Jamie has secured three wins and three additional podium
finishes. His main goal during the GP of Serres is to maintain, or even
extend, his points advantage.
Round four of the FIM Enduro World Championship takes place in Serres,
Greece on June 5, 6 & 7.
