"Don't get "MAERDY" with me!"
1/2nd August 2015

"Back in the day as the old Wirral Off Road Club, They ran an event in June 2003, Called "Maerdy"...
This was a round of that years ACU British Hare and Hounds series and was won by Andrew Cripps.. It was possibly one of the best off road tracks that has ever been used for an Enduro event. Now 12 years on, the current WOR Events team have just secured the exclusive use of this venue again and the riders are in for a massive treat.

The Track back then had a little bit of everything that a top quality event needed, A massive 14 mile lap that offered the riders farm tracks, woodlands, massive moorlands, open grass fields, fun boggy sections, natural jumps and drop offs, ride able off cambers, fast flowing sheep trails and some gentle stream crossings, big mountainside climbs and lots of rocky outcrops, it simply had the lot.

It obviously still has all of the above named traits and WOR's Head of Events, Steve Ireland, has pulled off a major coup by once again being able to include this fantastic (unused since then!)track into the clubs already vast array of superb and unrivalled venues by including it into the remaining exciting events calendar for 2015.

WOR are extremely pleased to announce that on the weekend of the 1/2nd August 2015 the scheduled events for the Polaris Quad series and the Putoline Hare Scrambles series (rd 6 of both) and a special RED Fun day Saturday will take place at MAERDY. A copy of that old 2003 course is the plan and hopefully some new bits to boot.

The venue is not far off the A5 near Dinmael and Maerdy (postcode to follow) in North Wales and is certainly one not to miss for any discerning dirt rider.

Make sure this one is in your diaries ...

For now enjoy the Brilliant July events that the WOR Team have lined up..

More details will follow soon and the online entries for this event will open mid July on the very busy and informative www.worevents.com  website.
