French Enduro Championship
Round 3 - Moirans-en-Montagne - 25/26th July

The 3rd round of the 2015 French Enduro Championship - sponsored by 24MX - was hosted by the picturesque town of Moirans-en-Montagne last weekend. Overnight rain left the course slippery but the forecast storms held off during the day. The Morians Club did a great job laying out the track with both tests only metres apart.

With Christophe Nambotin was sidelined by a knee injury, the battle for the E1 class was between Marc Bourgeois (Desjouis Yamaha) and Julien Gauthier (B2R-Yamaha Racing). Bourgeois won the first stage of the day before Gauthier took the lead on the second lap. Unfortunately he dropped 15 seconds after falling on the second extreme test. Marc Bourgeois won the first day while Gauthier held onto second place. Sweden's Mikael Persson (Desjouis Yamaha) - currently leading the EWC Youth class - was 3rd.

With PA Renet absent due to a dislocated shoulder, Loïc Larrieu (Sherco - Moto Pulsion) won 8 out of 9 tests to take the E2 class. Second place was a 3 way battle between Romain Boucardey (TM Racing), Nicolas Deparrois (Husqvarna - Atomic Moto) and Jeremy Tarroux (Sherco). Tarroux struggled to impose his will on the big 450 earlier in the day but as conditions improved so did his times and he finished fifteen seconds ahead of Nicolas Deparrois in 3rd.

Manu Albepart (BETA) won the E3 class to take the lead in the standings. Jeremy Joly (KTM) was runner up 1 second ahead of Antoine Basset (GasGas) in 3rd. Joly and Basset shared second in the standings.

In the Junior class, David Abrall (EEAT-Yamaha) justified his ISDE selection by winning his first French Championship day. Jérémy Carpentier (EC2M-Honda) was a close runner up. TM's Quentin Delhaye Maulde (TM Racing) was 3rd.

Ludivine Puy (BETA) continued to dominate the Women's class by finishing over a minute ahead of Blandine Dufrene (KTM) in second. Berrez Juliette was going well before being forced to retire on the last lap and Roche Maud took her first podium this season in 3rd.

With KTM and Husqvarna teams hit by injuries to Bellino, Renet and Nambotin, Yamaha topped the manufactures standings. with Beta and TM completing the podium.

On Day 2 Mikael Persson (Yamaha) won the E1 class with the 2nd fastest time overall. Teammate Marc Bourgeois was runner up and Anthony Boissiere (Sherco - Moto Pulsion) was 3rd.

Sherco Moto Pulsion rider Loic Larrieu made the E2 double for the weekend, Jeremy Tarroux (Sherco) took the 2nd step of the podium and Nicolas Deparrois (Husqvarna Motorcycles-Atomic) was 3rd.

The E3 class produced the most dramatic finish of the day as Manu Albepart (BETA) and Jeremy Joly (KTM) went head to head. Joly snatched the win by a 2 seconds from Albepart - closing the overall gap to 1point.. Antoine Basset was 3rd.

TM Racing rider Quentin Delhaye De Maulde showed his potential with a podium finish at Privas before injury hit. He returned and took his first day win in the Junior class. Jérémy Carpentier in 2nd extended his lead to 25 points ahead of 3rd placed rider Mika Barnes (KTM).

Ludivine Puy (BETA) crashed on the 3rd test and she was forced to retire with an injured knee. Blandine Dufrene (KTM) benefited by taking the second day and closing the gap in the overall standings to 1 point. Juliette Berrez (Yamaha) was the runner up and Maud Roche (BETA) complete the women's podium.
