Preview of the 3rd round of the European Enduro Championship

After more than two months of summer break, the European Enduro Championship returns to the far north:

Jämsä in Finland is well known as an international venue for off-road events for many years.

For the participants many stones and roots wait on the stages and a lot of sand in the specials. Conveniently, the paddock is the only service point on the 52 km lap. The figure of 8 course will be ridden three times.

Interest will centre on the continuation of the duel between the reigning Overall Champion Maurizio Micheluz and British Champion Tom Sagar. The Italian was injured a month ago with a dislocated shoulder and sand is not Micheluz's favourite going so Sagar will be hoping to score valuable points.

More than 200 riders from 15 countries will be participating in this third round of the European Enduro Championship. The opening ceremony will be in the paddock on Friday at 18.30. There will be parade of the riders, top racers interviews and a pole dancing show.

Even Eero Remes, who is currently the leader in the World Championship, will also be in his home country at the start!

Great Britain will be represented by 8 Jake Subachus Sherco, 61 Lee Sealey Husqvarna, 103 Joe Wootton Husqvarna, 104 Joshua Gotts TM, 107 Robert Johnson KTM, 112 Frazer Norrie KTM, 301 Tom Sagar KTM, 311 Jamie Lewis KTM and 320 Mark Roberts Sherco,
