RYMXC
Final
The final round of the RYMXC Club Championship was held at Saints Well, with kind permission of Mr and Mrs Brian Rees. After a frosty start the sun shone down and the riders lined up. For some, it was about gaining those valuable points and the battles for the club championship made great spectating. Those that had secured their championship positions, took the chance to move up early and try out their group for next season. The adults raced first and in the AMX the battle for 1st place was between Ieaun Morgan and Luke Morgan, with Ieaun finishing ahead with 1st, 2nd, 1st, leaving Luke settling for 2nd. Jonathan Evans took the final podium spot with three 3rds and Ryan Kinsey-Jones took 4th. In the AMX open Shaun Buchan and Wayne Price were the ones to watch. With only a few championship points separating them, they took 1st and 2nd respectively until the last race when Wayne crashed out on the whoops meaning he didn't finish. Mark Evans, who had two consistent 3rds in the first two races, took 2nd in race 3 for 2nd overall. The battle for 3rd was between Ryan Nicholls and Adam Rees, who finished on equal points, but finishing ahead of Adam in race 3, it was Ryan who took 3rd with Adam 4th. Finishing in 5th overall Matt Wiley went 6th, 7th, 5th and Wayne Price took 6th overall. Danny Morris took a 4th and 3rd in races two and three but bike problems in race one gave him 7th overall. Lady rider Tamara Morgan showed the boys how to do it with three race wins. Scott Mayhew took overall 2nd with 3rd, 2nd 3rd and Josh Atkins took the final podium place with 2nd in races one and three but a 5th in race two. Consistent 4th gave John Williams 4th overall and although Ashleigh Bufton gained a 3rd in race two, two 5ths in races one and three meant a 5th overall. In the Vets it was Ben Davies who took the win in race 1 but a nasty off in race 2 meant the end of his days racing and Jason Kendrick-Jones took the overall 1st position. The seniors was led in all three races by Brooklyn Evans giving him the 1st overall. Jamie Evans, Callum Evans and Iwan Roberts made great spectating, battling until the end. Jamie took 2nd with a 4th and two 2nds and Callum 3rd with 2nd, 4th, 3rd. Iwan took two 3rds in the first two races but a 4th in race 3 meant he had to settle for 4th overall. In 5th overall was Tom Watkins and 6th Trystan Leyshon. The BW and SW 85's were next out and the racing was fast and furious. Billy Jones took the first two race wins for 1st overall, with Kyle Biggs taking a 2nd in race one and Jack Samuel a 3rd. In race two Jack took the 2nd and Josh Marsh the 3rd. Race three was the one to watch with Billy and Jack swapping the lead throughout, Jack just finished ahead for the win giving him 2nd overall. Kyle took 3rd but with a 6th in race 2, due to bike problems, had to settle for 3rd overall. On equal points with Kyle, 4th went to Josh Marsh who took 4th in races one and three. The battle for championship points continued between RYMXC lady riders Emily Noon and Shauna Hope, who on the day finished 5th and 6th respectively. In the SW's Mathew Harris took all three wins adding to his championship lead, whilst Tomos Wright made an impressive start joining the 85's from the juniors taking three 2nds. Josh Noon took 3rd in the first two races and a 4th in race three giving him 3rd overall. With a 3rd in race three Carwyn Rosser took overall 4th, with Jack Probert 5th and Harvey Samuel 6th.
In the popular novice auto class it was the lady riders who were the ones
to beat. Lexie Morgan-Rogers and Tamzin Evans battled all day with Lexie
gaining first overall with a 2nd in race one and two 1sts. Tamzin settled
for 2nd with a win in race one and two 2nds. Overall 3rd place went to
Riegan Reece riding consistently all day for three 3rds and Poppy
