Open letter to Andy Waters from Derrick Edmondson

Morning Andy,

Please pass this on to all of your club members as the success of your event at the weekend is viewed by myself as a tremendous effort by many as well as yourself and Richard etc.

Congratulations in making the the last round of the ACU Edmondson Racing BEC such a success, the championship couldn't have been closer in the end between the top two riders and the way your event ran was a great and fitting end.

My support of the championship over the last two years has been two fold but the high majority of it is through my passion and enjoyment of the sport along with the people within it. The rest was from a business interest to give real value for money for the support and investment of the series sponsors in getting a acceptable return from the contribution they have all made. Without that support and financial contribution from Metzeler, Proseal, Putoline, Voltcom, P3, MD Racing along with the valued help and efforts of Tim Tighe, Dusty Martin and Enduro News, the championship over the last two years would not have been lifted to the level I believe it has now reached. Never forgetting the organising clubs and their members too in the contribution they have all made, I believe that the riding standard at the top of the tree is the best its ever been with no less than 6 current or former world and European Champions in the top ten of the championship class. Pretty much full entry lists from most of the rounds has provided a great breeding ground for the younger aspiring Enduro riders that are coming up the classes to make the BEC series a major opportunity to forward their individual championship goals.
