Gas Gas returns to the fray in trial and enduro The Girona firm reveals the list of riders who will represent Gas Gas in World and National championships of trial and enduro. Farré, Grattarola, Brown, Kadlec, Price, and the Peace brothers - Jack and Dan will make-up the trial squad, while Barragan and Ventura will defend the iconic ‘red’ brand in the enduro competitions. With the onset of most national and international championships and in view of the 2016 competition calendar, Gas Gas is pleased to announce the list of riders that will be part of their official team, competing in both Trial and Enduro World and National championships, and the home country races and national competitions for each respective rider. ENDURO: Barragan (E3) and Ventura (E2) with the commitment of Gas Gas Factory Team Pons After winning his first E3 Spanish Championship title, and after a season in which he managed to climb three times upon the podium of the World Championship (Chile, Spain and France), Gas Gas and Jonathan Barragan have again joined forces with the versatile and light Gas Gas EC 300 to push for wins in national and global competition in E3. The Madrid rider, like last year, will have all the support of the official team, the Gas Gas Factory Pons Team. The team structure directed by Sergi Durán also maintains their trust in Diogo Ventura, one of the Portuguese riders with the greatest talent in this specialty. The Portuguese rider was ranked seventh in the World Junior last season, this year he will jump to the Senior categories. Ventura and his Gas Gas EC 250 will combine forces to challenge the best riders in the middle category, competing in the World Championship as well as the Spanish E2 National Championship. In just one month, Jonathan Barragán and Diogo Ventura will start the competitions. After the winter break, the Enduro Championship of Spain is the early bird of them all. The town of Antas, on the 28th of February, will be the inaugural event, the first of six national events. While the World Championship this year will be comprised of eight two-day rounds on the calendar, starting in Agadir (Morocco Africa) on the weekend of April 9th and 10th. TRIAL: Farré, Grattarola, Brown and Kadlec are big names in World and National Trial After successfully conquering the uncertainties of the past, Gas Gas
returns to the fray even stronger, with renewed vigor and confidence in
their team. And for this, and his potential for the future, Gas Gas has
confidence in Arnau Farré. The young rider from Lleida has become the main
asset of the brand in the world of Trial. A future that, in 2016, will see
him compete at the controls of the updated Gas Gas TXT Pro Racing 300,
challenging the best riders in the Spanish Championship, in TR1, and
fighting for the World title in the junior category. With Marc Riba, Farré
will have a teammate, as the young Spaniard also receives factory support in
the national TR2 and the World Cup. Now fully recovered from the knee injury he suffered last year in the
Japanese Grand Prix, Michael Brown is back with renewed energy to fight for
the World Championship. The JST Gas Gas UK team's number one rider will also
participate in the many competitions that comprise the season of British
Trial. Brown, will have as his teammates, the young Jack Price, and brothers
Jack Peace and Dan Peace, emerging talents in the sport of Trial in Britain,
and who will also participate in the specialty of World Junior. |
