Enduro Italian Majors Championship 2016
Arma Di Taggia
After enjoying the challenges of the Italian Championship for 'Under23 /
Seniors, it's time to turn the spotlight on the over 35s this weekend.
We will thrill to the sound of motors in the beautiful Arma di Taggia
(IM). A baptism to a really superb season, characterized by the enchanting
landscape of the Ligurian town which then will oppose the harsh mountainous
hinterland of the Riviera di Ponente. The track, designed by Motoclub
Sanremo, will be developed in the district of Taggia and the logistics base
will be located near the station in the same city. Inside the 45 km route,
there will be set up two special stages: a Cross Test and Enduro Test, which
will be ridden four times.
There will be 3 notable absences from the entry list on Sunday. Maurizio
Lenzi, Angelo Maggi and Pierluigi Surini will not be present but the show
will go on. To
be specific, in the Master 1 class without Lenzi in the race, the spotlight
will definitely by on George Alberti (Yamaha-Costa Volpino), Paolo Dalla
Zuanna (KTM-Ardosa) and Mirko De Felice (Honda-Tower of Meloria).
Do not miss the challengers in Masters 2, category for the top of the
podium as the M3 Federico Mancinelli (Costa Volpino) went from KTM 300 2T
Yamaha 450 4t, Daniele Tellini (KTM Sieve) and Luca Politaṇ (Suzuki-Vittorio
Alfieri).
In Masters 3 we find the new entry to the championship of Andrea Belotti
(KTM-Sebino), which we are sure will give us a season full of challenges
with David Dall'Ava (KTM-Alassio), Riccardo Cantenne (Beta-Ragni Fabriano)
and all other protagonists.
A class to be discovered will be the Expert1 that sees the absence of
Italian Pierluigi Surini sample and the "relocation" of Marco
Feltracco (KTM-Pistons Roventi) in Expert2, where he will be expected to
battle with Matthew Guastini (KTM-Sarzana), Paul Bertorello (KTM-Vittorio
Alfieri) and Renzo Ravagli (Beta-Valdibure P.). Ready to defend the title
there in 2015 of Expert3 Luca Uccellini (Husqvarna-Ragni Fabriano), which
sees the arrival in its category of a real tough cookie, Carmelo Mazzoleni (KTM-Norelli),
passed from M2 to X3. Do not underestimate David Marangoni (KTM-Norelli),
third last season. To land in the Veteran in this 2016 Roberto Bazzurri
(Beta-Ragni Fabriano), ready to put "spoke in the wheel" to
Roberto Cesareni (Husqvarna-Sebino), winner in this category last year.
Another new entry, and pleasant return to Italian Major Championship, is to
Fausto Scovolo (KTM-Lago d'Iseo), came from the ranks of the flag after a
few seasons of absence. SuperVeteran also sees the change of category of its
champion, Moscone Giancarlo (Yamaha-Sherpa), through the UltraVeteran ready
to challenge Remo factors (Husqvarna-Norelli), Giuliano Piccinini (Honda-Casazza),
Renato Pegurri (Husqvarna- Costa Volpino) and Mauro Uslenghi (Honda-Fast
Team).
