A NEW TIME CARD ENDURO FORMAT EVENT FROM WOR... Read on... 24th April Short Course Enduro is a format all of its own and has been around along time although not many clubs run them and when WOR's chief events plotter, Steve Ireland was at a recent ACU Clerk of the Course seminar he was taken with the idea after having seen the section on the event in the handbook. Knowing that WOR's Llandrillo block of forestry would be perfect for this type of event the behind the scenes work has now been done and WOR are pleased to announce the entries are open and the format announced. Unlike usual timecard Enduros that have a 25 mile plus lap and 3 or 4 checkpoints per lap the SCE format is a smaller lap, anything from 2 mile to 10 miles (10 mile lap in this case) with just one checkpoint at the start / finish area and with a special test of around 3 miles to be ridden by everyone 4 times ... The course will be aimed at all riding abilities' and not made too hard with the emphasis on all riders enjoying the riding and the course for the duration of the event. ....Also a new concept - there will be no Expert Class, therefore less of a threat of faster bikes coming past and putting off / intimidating the lower level riding classes. With only One checkpoint and simple times to keep up with it should be a brilliant days fun on the bike for the riders and hopefully some nice spring weather to boot! Another plus point to this format is that it is entirely on private land
and therefore no need to be road legal or use and public roads etc. The event will be limited to 80-100 riders so please enter asap if you wish to this and see this format go ahead. More details will be in the event final instructions nearer the time. It's about 4 weeks away so soon be here....
