Brad Wiliams won Round 3 of the CTR SSC

15th May - Llywel, Trecastle

Brad Williams won CTR SSC RD3 on 15th of May 2016 in emphatic style after close pressure for 90 minutes from the ever improving Tim Forman on this 6.5 mile Enduro Cross Country loop that in my words is a great venue with a mixture of everything you need for a Hare & Hounds race that team CTR built with fast flowing natural contoured fields bogs, hills, and descents, and wild open orchard style wooded areas all in a world winning setting in the heart of Wales.

At the start CTR dropped the flag to release the group of Elite and Experts with Brad Williams grabbing the holeshot from Time Forman and Jay Thomas and Mathew Wimpy Jones grabbing the Experts holeshot from Jack Heath and Rhys Davies, Next to set off was the Vet Experts with Paul Biggs grabbing the holeshot from Grant Churchward and Sean O'Neill, Next to be let loose the Clubman with Tim Saunders grabbing the holeshot from Andy Card and Nickki Jones, Next to be unleashed the Vet Clubman and Over 50's with Andy Taylor grabbing the holeshot from Dylan Davies and Phil George in the Over 50's With Ady Stagg and Neil Price close behind, Next to be released the big group of Novice/Beginners with CJay Wimpy Jones grabbing the holeshot from Jamie Duthie and Liam Phillips as all the CTR racers had now be set free to attack the course all eyes would be focused on the lap scoring area.

At lap scoring on the 1st lap it was the ever impressive young flying Brad Williams to lap 1st just 3 seconds infront of Tim Forman and Jay Thomas just a few seconds behind them, Rhys Davies led the Experts around with Mathew Wimpy Jones and Jack Heath hot on his tail, Grant Churchward led the Vet Experts around closely followed by Sean O'Neill, Ryan Leary and Paul Biggs, Nickki Jones led the Clubman around with Scott Lewis and Andy Card chasing hard just behind, Phil George led the Over 50's around with Andy Taylor leading the Vet Clubman around.

At midway Brad Williams was in a comfortable lead with Tim Forman getting stuck for a short time and Jay Thomas still getting to grips with Enduro racing, Williams was set free to relax and keep pulling away with a smooth and impressive manner, Rhys Davies was leading the Experts Jack Heath dropped out of the race after battling with Mathew Wimpy Jones and Danny Morris slipped into 2nd place, Sean O'Neill jumped into the lead of the Vet Experts with Grant Churchward in 2nd and Ryan Leary in 3rd, Nikki Jones was leading the Clubman from Scott Lewis and Sam Peake now in 3rd, Mark Saunders had popped into the lead of the Over 50's from Phil George charging hard in 2nd from Richard Holland, Andy Taylor was leading the Vet Clubman with Dylan Davies in 2nd and Neil Price 3rd and Ady Stagg having on track repairs, CJay Wimpy Jones was leading the Novice class from Jamie Biggs and Adam Jordan and that's how they all finished the day.

At the chequered flag Brad Williams took the win with just over a minute lead from Tim Forman and 3rd overall was Expert Rhys Davies it was a great days racing in 1 of the best venues in the world and unrivalled setting and with an awesome Enduro race track, CTR would like to thanks you all for coming and supporting CTR, With thanks to the caterers Snax 101, All the Marshals and helpers, the spectators the land owners, Team CTR the land owner and mostly the competitors this made it all worthwhile see you all at CTR SSC RD4 11th & 12th June at this amazing place.
