Charlie Frost shines at Erzberg debut Charlie Frost on his first visit to the "Iron Giant" erzbergrodeo had a solid ride on his Wayne Mounter KTM 300. Fridays prologue run didn't go well with a poor start number, the inevitable catching of multiple bikes (Eight) meaning lots of shutting off in there dust resulted in a time 188th quickest, so stills lots to do on the second run. With over night rain the dust issue was all but sorted for Saturdays run and Charlie got a clearer run and only caught Five other riders to post the 39th quickest run of the day and 61st overall putting him on the 2nd row for Sundays main event. More overnight rain would collapse parts of the rocket ride hills which are used to exit the start area and this would prove costly for Charlie as when he arrived at this part of the track he was knocked off his line by another rider meaning he had to make another attempted to get out of the quarry and on his way, Now with slower riders in front of him Charlie used his head and rode well with in himself choosing good lines and picking riders off until he got back up to the top 50. He arrived at check point Ten "Machine" at around 1hour 30minute, this is the part of the track where the no spectator help zone starts and only other riders can assist each other. Charlie continued to push on teaming up at times with another English rider Andy Frost (GMB Garages) to clear some parts of the track and they both made it to check point 16 "Prospect" and dropped into "Karls Dinner" it was here where the 4hour time limit timed Charlie out in a overall position of 59th. A great effort on his first attempt at the event after the time lose suffered early on. He cant wait to get back there next year and progress further. Thanks to all his supporters and everyone that helped him this week. #WayneMounterMotorcycles #EnduroTyres.com #GMBGarages
