Brad Williams Wins CTR EVENTS Summer Series
Championship Round 4 Brad Williams does it again in challenging conditions with the great British weather playing its part with heavy down poor's of rains keeping the dust down and making conditions extremely slippery but he didn't have it all his way with Jay Thomas leading the 1st and 2nd lap and Jordan Ridgeway in the mix having 2nd for a lap or 2 but Williams showed he is still the one to beat at CTR with Thomas crashing and losing a few seconds picking his self-up and getting going again and Ridgeway faded out as this fantastic 7 mile Enduro cross country race course set out by team CTR had a complete mix of everything asked for Enduro racing with a few bogs, streams, hill climbs, descents, flowing woods, cambers, fast blasts and jumps but did the weather stick a curve ball yes.
At the start CTR set off the Elite and Expert class's with Jay Thomas grabbing the holeshot from Brad Williams Expert riders Luke Rudd and Mathew Jones fighting it out for the holeshot, next set loose the Vet Experts with Ryan Leary grabbing the holeshot from Grant Churchward, next release the Clubman class with Craig Thomas grabbing the holeshot from Ryan Nightingale, next set free the Over 50's and Vet Clubman with Andy Taylor grabbing the Vet Clubman holeshot and Phil George grabbing the Over 50's holeshot, the last group to be set off was the Novice with Will Hawkins grabbing the holeshot from Alfie Webb, Jamie Briggs, Tamara Morgan and Grant Maguire as they all set off to attack this awesome Enduro course all eye would be set on lap scoring to see who would appear 1st leading their class and the race.
Lap scoring and Jay Thomas led the 1st lap with Brad Williams Jordan Ridgeway and Co hot on his tail, Martin Paosila-Jones led the Vet Experts around with Gary McCoy, Sean O'Neill and Ryan Leary snapping at his tail, Craig Thomas led the Clubman around from Nickki Jones and Scott Lewis, Andy Stagg led the Vet Clubman around with a fare lead from Andy Taylor Rob Murfin led the Over 50's around with Phil George and Adrian Evans not too far behind, next class leader around was Jonathan Williams Liam Phillips and CJay Jones a few minutes behind. At mid race Brad Williams was in control with Jay Thomas in 2nd after his crash and Jordan Ridgeway out of the race the hard charging Derek Bawn was in 3rd and chasing the 2 infront, Brad Williams was cool as ever and settled into a smooth fast rhythm pulling away and leaving a fare gap from Thomas who himself had to get on with it as Bawn was pushing hard behind, Danny Morris was leading the Experts from Mathew Jones and Bud Benny, Sean O'Neill was leading the Vet Experts from Ryan Leary and Paul Biggs after a real contender Grant Churchward had a close encounter with a fallen Ryan Leary's bike which sent him into a tree and crashing but after picking his self u and getting going the led group was too far gone and hard charging Gary McCoy dropped out, Scott Lewis was in the lead of the clubman with Sam Peake 2nd and Damian Close in 3rd, Rob Muffin was leading the Over 50's with Mark Saunders now 2nd and Adrian Evans 3rd, Andy Taylor was leading the Vet Clubman from a pair of steady-men Paul Martin and Neil Price, Jonathan Williams was in control of the novice with CJay Jones in 2nd and Liam Phillips 3rd.
