European Enduro Championship Juniors have to wait On the second day of third round of European-Enduro-Championship in Ogre / Latvia the juniors were beaten: The fastest rider of the day was Czech Jaromir Romancik again! However, he had his fair share of trouble when his KTM got electric problems on the last stage but he took his time and luckily he succeeded . The junior riders were not far away: Andreas Linusson, riding his first European-Championship in Latvia, was only 1.26 seconds behind Romancik and his fellow countryman Jesper Börjesson was only 14 seconds away.
Only five point behind the winner oft he day, Romancik, who had bad luck in the beginning of the season. Right after this Pellegrinelli, who missed the chance by himself. But for this the former champion Maurizio Micheluz came closer, only nine points away from the titel. In reality the riders fighted against the weather capers and as the result against the difficulties on thee track: A very heavy rain in the middle oft he day changed the third test and the stages into a lot of mudholes and slippery ground. Lots of riders got stuck and lost a lot of time.
Jaromir Romancik does not only win the Overall, but again the E2-Class, in front of Swedish rider Tommy Sjöström. Third became Tom Sagar, defending champion an leader oft he championship. At the first day beaten by one second, the E3-class-champion Maurizio Micheluz took revanche: This time he was 1.1 second in front of Rannar Uusnar from Estonia. “Not the sand is the problem, it is the space: The big, 500cc Husqvarna needs more space to show all the power. It was often too narrow here” Faster as the former champion Micheluz was his fellow countryman Andrea Verona, who won the class of the juniors under 20 years: And Verona is riding only a small 125cc bike and not a big 500cc. In the women-class Jane Daniels was the only one without time penalties and so she won in front oft the Hanna Berzelius from Sweden. The final of the European-Enduro-Championship will take place in the Netherlands end of Oktober.

KTM-rider Jaromir Romancik from Czech Republik was fastest rider of all, winning by a margin of 23 seconds. Second on the day was the Italien Nicolas Pellegrinelli with a result that could give him the leadership of the championship. Former leader, Brad Freeman could not start after an shoulder-operation.
Third of the day was Junior Andreas Linusson from Sweden, who showed good control in the sand. The MX test and first enduro test were both sandy but the second enduro test was on hard ground in a former quarry, full of stones. At the end of the day some rain made this test very slippery. This rains also created some mudholes on the last stage, On this terrain, even if it is not used to the Italiens, Suzuki-Rider Guido Conforti won the E1-class in front of Thierry Pittens from Netherlands, who is known as a specialist for sandy condition. Fraser Norrie was 6th. Jaromir Romancik does not only win the Overall, but the E2-class as well: 2nd was the sand specialists, Tommy Sjöström and Ivo Steinberg from Sweden was 3rd. Tom Sagar was 5th. In absence from the reigning champion Werner Müller, Sebastian Krywolt again won the veterans class
