The North of England XC Club Motul EnduroTek Woodhouse XC

Ross Hall Memorial Event 31st July 2016

The N.E.X.C. club put on a fantastic XC event at the famous Woodhouse venue in memory of Ross Hall. The junior event went well with the top Joe Cooper, Harry Mugridge & Sam Boyd, battling it out for podium positions. Liam Crowe took the win in the youth event with 24 laps followed by Richard Moorhouse, Archie Wakefield, Jack Win all very close behind with 23 laps.

The adult event was a sell out with people wanting to ride the event. The course was in prime condition thanks to www.steveleamingplant.co.uk  that had sent a machine to grade the track ready for the event.

Before the adult race there was a one minute rev up of bikes for Ross with a speech for the NEXC club secretary Jenna Watson that had tears in a few people’s eyes.

The adults had a very flowing course with some very fast lap times. David Nellis won the over 40 Ross Hall memorial trophy that will be back next year.

A massive thanks to all the marshals that volunteered for the day, the event could not run without your support. A full list of results and updated championship standings is now on line for download at the club web site www.nexc.club  . See you all at Thorp XC on the 4th September for another quality event.
