Cadwallader Powys Enduro

With perfect weather conditions a full house entry once again enjoyed the Powys Enduro starting from the village of Carno, one of the few remaining one lap enduros in the country taking in some wonderful open moorlands. After an early loop around the hills to the east of the start competitors arrived at the cross country special test with its mixture of grass tracks and tricky hills and dingles to cross. Following the test it was another moorland crossing before a mixture of back roads and green lanes brought competitors to the first of two forestry stages which eventually saw competitors arrive back at the special test to be ridden in reverse.

Reigning British Sidecar championships David Williams and Simon Brown posting the fastest times on both tests to secure victory and with it the British Championship, class wins for Martin Rowan and Anthony Mills saw them secure the expert title and Andy Scrivens and Martin Lawford the clubman title.

Rheinalt and Tudor Davies

Paul Herbert repeated his success of last year to secure the win in the open class however fastest solo through the first test was none other than Wyn Hughes having a ride out in the Over 40 class needless to say Wyn won his class by almost two minutes.
In the Classic championship classes Ian Barnett saw off a strong challenge from Tom Knill in the experts category with Stephen Ethelston winning the clubman class. Closest battle of the day was in the clubman class with Robin Williams just five seconds ahead of Tom Cadwallader.

It was a good day for the sponsors Cadwallader Ltd with Tom second in the clubman class, Jack second in the Experts and John third in Classic Clubman Class.
