Brad Freeman wins CTR Events Summer Series Championship final round at Builth Wells.

Brad Freeman won CTR’s SSC final 2016 in very impressive style and consistent very fast laps making the extremely slippery and challenging conditions at Builth Wells Mid Wales, CTR had built a great little XC Enduro loop of 4.5 mile with a fast flowing MX track with fast sky jumps and technical steep jumps with farm tracks, tight woods, loops of fields and a hard easy section of logs and dumper tyres, that Freeman eat up with ease and impressive speed pulling 2 laps over the rest of the fellow CTR Racers.

At the start and after a short brief with CTR the flag was dropped for the Elite and Expert riders with Jack Heath grabbing the holeshot and Brad Freeman left last off the line, Next away was the Vet Experts with Grant Churchward grabbing the holeshot, Next unleashed the Clubman with Tim Saunders getting the holeshot, Next released the Vet clubman and over 50’s with Adrian Stagg getting the Vet Clubman holeshot and Mike Crumb grabbing the Over 50’s holeshot, Next let loose the Novice class with little young gun Alfie Webb grabbing the holeshot as they all sped off into the distance all eyes were focused on lap scoring to see who would appear 1st.

At lap scoring Elite class racer Brad Freeman appeared 1st with Brad Williams not too far behind and Matthew Jones, Jack Heath and Danny Morris leading the Experts around, Grant Churchward was leading the Vet Experts around from Paul Biggs with Sean O’Neill a full 2 and a half minutes behind, Next class leader around was Tim Saunders from Nikki Jones, Damian Close and Sam Peake, Next class leader around was Adrian Stagg from Adrian Llewellyn, Next class leader around was Mike Crumb, Next to lead their class around was the very impressive little young Alfie Webb on his 85 BW with Steve Nicholas, Andrew Phillips, Jamie Biggs, Grant Maguire and Jonathan Williams not to far behind.

Jack Heath

As the race progressed and pit stop ETC coming into play Brad Freeman was in a commanding lead with 2nd and 3rd up for grabs a great battle was between Jack Heath, Matthew Jones and a hard charging Brad Williams, The Vet Experts was between Grant Churchward and Paul Biggs swapping the lead as each other pitted Sean O’Neill was pushing hard behind but the gap from lap 1 was too big to catch the boys, In the hard fort Clubman class the battle between was between Nikki Jones, Sam Peake, Joe Parfitt, Damian Close and Martin Williams, The Vet Clubman battle was hot between Adrian Stagg and Adrian Llewellyn with Andy Taylor sat in 3rd, Mike Crumb was in great form in the Over 50’s and no one could catch him, Alfie Webb was well in control of the Novice class with Jamie Biggs, Steve Nicholas and Grant Maguire battling for 2nd and 3rd.

At the chequered flag the overall winner of the day was the supper fast Brad Freeman with Brad Williams 2nd, Jack Heath won the Expert class from Matthew Jones and Danny Morris in 3rd, Paul Biggs won the Vet Expert class from Grant Churchward with Sean O’Neill 3rd, The Clubman class was won by Nikki Jones with Sam Peake 2nd and Joe Parfitt 3rd, Adrian Stagg won the Vet Clubman class from Adrian Llewellyn with Andy Taylor 3rd, Mike Crumb blew the rest of the class away taking the Over 50’s class, Alfie Webb won the Novice class from Jamie Biggs with Steve Nicholas 3rd.

The CTR Summer Series Championship was won by Brad Williams Elite with Matthew Jones winning the Expert class, Sean O’Neill winning the Vet Expert, Andy Taylor won the Vet Clubman, Sam Peake won the Clubman, Mike Crumb Won the Over 50’s, And Jamie Biggs won the Novice class it was a great days racing and final to the CTR Championship,
