Breaking news for Team Scotland

Following the sad news that Ricky Mair had broken his collar bone yesterday while training and is obvoisly now unable to ride at this year's ISDE in Spain. This really is devastating for Ricky as he has put a great deal into this event throughout the year both physically and financially. Having said that he still fully intends to be in Spain helping and cheering the team on.

Following discussions that have taken place today it is great too hear that another well known, very experienced Scottish rider in the form of Mr Euan Mcconnell will be stepping up to represent Team Scotland in Spain.

Euan has competed in 9 ISDEs. He won a Silver in his first 6 Days in 1999 representing the Scottish team in Portugal followed by Gold in Spain 2000 and another Gold in France 2001, He broke his hand and dnf'd in the Czech Republic 2002, He came back with a Gold in Slovakia 2005, gold and best British performance in New Zealand 2006, Gold in Chili 2007 and Gold in Portugal 2009.

We'd like to wish Ricky a very speedy recovery and look forward to seeing Euan in the mix giving the TM the beans?
