Six Days of Racing in Pursuit of the ISDE World Trophy

Three riders from Trail Jesters Racing join AMA Team USA

If you had to boil down the essence of dirt biking, it might be just that simple: We ride, we race. No conditionals; no ifs, ands or buts. You don’t worry about weather or terrain. Just get on a bike and get a little dirt (or mud) between your teeth.

Trail Jesters Racing embodies the essence of dirt biking in everything they do, and three members of the team have been selected for the daunting “Six Days” in some of the most extreme terrain on earth.

Trail Jesters Racing was founded in 2014 to support New England riders and make tracks in the international dirt bike scene by Head Jester, Ross Mauri. He’s a long-time dirt biker himself, having raced Motocross, scrambles, short-track and enduros in the American Motorcycle Association (AMA).

“During my racing career, I admired guys who’d open the throttle and go. It takes grit and determination,” he says. “Those are the guys we want on the team, guys who don’t know the term ‘give up.’ You’re crossing some pretty gnarly terrain, you’re shooting over rocks, burning through dust clouds — it’s tough.”

Tough might be an understatement. The Trail Jesters are gearing up for the prestigious International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) annual off-road race. This year’s event is going down in the Navarra region of Spain, home to semi-deserts, mountain ranges and river valleys. Over six days they’ll go toe-to-toe with over 650 riders from 40 countries. Consider it the Super Bowl of off-road biking.

“We’re going out there to compete. This isn’t a beauty contest,” said Ross. “We’ve got three great riders who we think will do Trail Jesters and New England proud.”
