Mathew Jones wins his first CTR

Mathew Wimpy Jones led from start to finish to win a very tough and challenging CTR WSC RD2 after heavy overnight rain pushing on with consistent lap times and demonstrating his great fitness and ever improving Enduro riding talent never looking like anyone could challenge him around the 6.8 ever changing CTR XC Enduro loop full of every type of Enduro riding with uphill blasts, Steep down hills, Slippery cambers, Technical options and a tricky easy hard loop option in the quarry over logs and big tyres.

At the start CTR dropped the flag releasing the group of Experts with Mathew Jones getting the holeshot and smoothly blasting off into the distance, Then CTR dropped the flag setting the Vet Experts free with Ryan Leary grabbing the holeshot, Next away was the Clubman with Damian Close getting the holeshot, Next away the Vet Clubman and the Over 50’s with Adrian Llewellyn getting the holeshot in the Vet Clubman and Adrian Evans getting the Over 50’s holeshot, Last unleashed the Novice-Beginners with Dominic Lyons getting the holeshot and as all the riders and their bikes disappeared into the distance all eyes were on lap scoring to see who would appear 1st.

At lap scoring it was Mathew Jones to lap in the lead with Vet Expert Grant Churchward not too far behind just over a minute behind with Fred Adams and Nikki Jones just infront of Ryan Leary, Next class leader around was Clubman rider Craig Thomas, With Novice class rider next class leader around, Adrian Evans led the Over 50’s around and Adrian Llewellyn led the Vet Clubman around.

At half way and with many changes to the track by CTR marshals trying hard to keep the race moving Mathew Jones was in full control of the race Grant Churchward was in a comfortable led of the Vet Experts and Craig Thomas was commanding the Clubman class Adrian Llewellyn was leading the Vet Clubman and Adrian Evans was in control of the Over 50’s with Michael Clark leading the Novice-Beginners.
