HARD Enduro The first RAW HARD enduro of 2016 will run at the versatile Kirton Off Road Centre on Sunday December 11th. KORC as its better known, perhaps more for four-wheel drive activities, has an awesome platform for clerk of the course and Hard enduro fan Wayne Braybrook to work his magic. The quarry which is Huge, has giant man made Rock Gardens, other man made features, as well as some big hills and descents. Wayne has a keen eye for spotting testing natural terrain. The aim is to have a HARD enduro event which tests riders of all abilities. Riders may need help from a riding buddy, as there is NO outside assistance allowed. In the next couple of weeks Wayne will be taking his Colin Appleyard Husqvarna to the quarry to do some initial Recce work, there he can test what rides well and see just how demanding he can make the track whilst appealing to those riders who want to step up from the regular Hare & Hounds challenge. The final format is to be decided soon; we may opt for the first rider to complete a set number of laps, or simply give race duration to complete as many laps as possible. Already some good experts are making noises about this event, so get ready with your super soft tyres and extra bike protection folks, Extreme season is approaching fast!!, there will be some pushing and man handling of bikes in the really technical sections, the rest of the lap will see some testing but certainly not bike wrecking routes around the quarry. Remember guys and girls, the Extreme season is happening right from the start of January 2017, so get some training in now in the form of a great event from RAW Enduro. Entries are £50 for all RAW Members, £60 for non-members; we accept IOPD and ACU Licences. So if you are riding get your details to RAW Enduro on a text stating riders name, class, Riding number and licence number. Day Licences are £5.
