Now that Christmas is knocking at the door, we are pleased to offer you a
new edition of our Gas Gas Weekly News, hot off the press with all the
latest information about our brand.
We are starting this edition by announcing the signing of James Dabill by
Gas Gas. This rider from Yorkshire is coming back to what was his home from
2009 to 2010, the years he started his incredible string of victories in the
British Trials Championship. Dabill has dominated British trial during the
last decade and his incorporation into the Gas Gas Factory FG Trial Team
signifies a luxury reinforcement of the very highest category for the brand
which in 2016 won the Trial125 and Trial2 world championships, with Jack
Peace and Jack Price, and achieved a second position in TrialWomen with
Sandra Gómez.
And next season promises to be even better! Dabill kicks off the year
competing in the world X-Trial –previously known as Indoor- and is set to
be one of our strong men in the TrialGP world championship, the top category
for outdoor trial. After winning seven titles practically one after the
other in Great Britain, James Dabill will be riding to sunnier climes in
2017, because next season we will be seeing him riding one of our Gas Gas
TXT 300 Racing bikes in the Spanish Trial Championship. A very busy agenda
together with long duration events such as the SSDT, the Scott Trial or the3
Days of Trial of Santigosa.

Our competition teams are still being finalised with regard to next year
as this year is coming to an end. The very last events have been held in the
United States and the United Kingdom. In fact it was in the UK where Sam
Haslam achieved a new victory in the National Southern Trial Championship,
this time in Hookwood. This is yet another triumph for JST Gas Gas UK in
Expert Class, making a hat-trick in this competition. His teammate Tom Minta
had to make do with a fourth position.
On the other side of the Atlantic, Geoff Aaron finished off the AMA
EnduroCross championship with a seventh place in Ontario. The Gas Gas rider
ended the year in tenth position on the table and with the support of course
from all the members of GasGas North America.
Whilst still in the US we have to congratulate Jarred Hall for a great
season in enduro and the hare-scramble USA, where he finished second in the
98-Open Class on his little Gas Gas 200 and in third position against much
more powerful bikes than his in the general classification of the 98-250
Enduro Class. Hall also had a double win in the 98-Open category and the
98-250 Hare-Scrambles. He has had several podium finishes in this
championship. This is yet another title for the Gas Gas riders in the United
States, which adds to the wins at the Appalachian Championship Enduro Series
(ACES) achieved by his fellow American Broc Hepler some months ago. We would
also like take this opportunity to wish Broc a speedy recovery from his
injury during the ISDE in Navarra.
Leaving competition aside we would like to concentrate on our factory in
Salt, where day after day, we keep on manufacturing dreams in the form of
trial and enduro bikes. Christmas is coming and this is one of the periods
of the year with the greatest demand in this sense. These are the dates
when, without a doubt, our new Gas Gas eKids T12/E12 will be the children’s
most wanted present under the Christmas tree, together with the other bikes
in the new Torrot Kids range with supermotard, trial and enduro bikes.

We are sure the wide range of electric bikes for children from Gas Gas
and Torrot will be on the Christmas wish-list of the very youngest children
- and also the not so young too. It has been said that as we get older the
size of our dreams gets bigger and the size of our toys gets bigger too...
And it is almost certainly because of this our new Gas Gas TXT GP is getting
really popular as a special version. Since its launch at the EICMA show in
Milan, this exclusive model has become an authentic cult object for trial
lovers.
Trial fans were able to enjoy the wide range of our Gas Gas TXT
125/250/280/300 and the new Gas Gas TXT GP in the successful test days
organised by DSB Competició in its new trial area, opened recently in Santa
Margarida de Montbui (Barcelona). A perfect place for a first contact with
our new models.
Further north, in Asturias, we keep on promoting trial amongst the
youngest riders at the Trial Indoor de Oviedo, where boys and girls who came
to the local sports hall in Oviedo were able to make a start with our Gas
Gas and Torrot, courtesy of TrialFactory.

And to finish, we close this edition of our Gas Gas Weekly News by
announcing our presence at the coming ‘Saló de la Infŕncia’ being held
from 27th December to 4th January, in Montjuďc, Barcelona. Here the very
youngest riders will be able to have a great time on the Torrot and Gas Gas
mini-bikes on our children’s circuit.
Still riding!
