JOLY the 'Secret Weapon' for Beta!
We thought the recruitment window had closed for Beta Factory in
December, after they announced the renewal of Steve HOLCOMBE (GB) and the
signing of Brad FREEMAN (GB) - who will be under the awning of Beta Boano.
But the Italian factory announced some more news…
Indeed, while they decided to part ways with double World Champion Johnny
AUBERT (F), another Frenchman has arrived for the team: Jérémy JOLY!
He had been without a contract, despite taking the 2016 French Enduro
title in E3 for KTM France. But it hasn't taken long for JOLY to find a new
squad! Several rumours about his 2017 plans emerged; that he was in
competition with Antoine BASSET (F) for a Gas Gas seat, or that he was
linked to Honda France, or that he had his sights set on Rockstar Energy
Husqvarna Factory Racing.
In the end, it is under the management of Fabrizio DINI that the 2011
Junior World Champion will compete in the FIM Maxxis EnduroGP World
Championship.
With HOLCOMBE and SALVINI confirmed in the EnduroGP category over a month
ago, Beta Factory will place "JJ" into Enduro 2 on the 250RR
2-stroke.
After a season where he was only able to ride in three Grand Prix,
Jérémy JOLY is back on the World scene full-time with Beta. As the teams
finish their final preparations for 2017 and begin placing their cards on
the table for the different classes, it could be that the Frenchman has a
big chance of running at the front in Enduro 2...
