The Great Britain Cross Country series makes a welcome return to the UK Enduro circuit this weekend with a cracker of an event planned for Westwood near Sheffield, postcode S75 3DL.

All GBXC events will be a step up from regular events, they will be tougher and more challenging but will offer riders easy or hard options around the predicted 12-15 minute lap which will use every bit of available and varied terrain at the venue.

Saturday starts with a Youth race followed by a FED practice day while Sunday will host two races starting with Novice, Sportsman, Youth B and Vets B in the morning followed by Expert, Clubman, Youth A and Vets A in the afternoon.

The inclusion of new classes is sure to make for fierce competition at the opening round of this exciting re-launch of a series that changed XC racing when it began many years ago.

Maintaining the same ethos as the original series Paul Edmondson has set the bar high, knowing that there are plenty of riders out there who will rise to the challenge and make this a true national level series for the very best riders of all classes.
