Mika Ahola « Brave One » Trophy LARRIEU, like a Boss! A KTM Enduro Test which was more than 11 minutes long and quite technical... This is what awaited the stars of EnduroGP last weekend in Spoleto (Italy). Some riders lost out on valuable points in their quest for Mika Ahola "Brave One" Trophy and the coveted belt, while others shone under the Italian sun. We look back at two days of breathtaking racing. HOLCOMBE Makes a Break… Steve HOLCOMBE (GB - Beta) and his rival Matthew PHILLIPS (AUS - Sherco) arrived in Umbria neck and neck, both on 37 points, but the pair had very different outcomes at the end of the Italian GP after PHILLIPS suffered a mechanical issue on Saturday which resulted in a DNF, and only took three points on Sunday. Meanwhile the factory Beta rider HOLCOMBE was on top form (1/3) and is now in the hunt for the Trophy... But the rider who stole the show this weekend was Outsiders Yamaha rider Loïc LARRIEU (F). With a second place on the first day and an overwhelming victory on Sunday, the Frenchman impressed and now ranks 2nd in the provisional standings, just 13 points behind HOLCOMBE...
Christophe NAMBOTIN (F - KTM) put in a solid performance (7/4), as did the
E2 young guns Josep GARCIA (E - KTM) and Jamie MCCANNEY (GB - Yamaha). And
so they join the ranks of the "Brave One” trophy, moving into the
Top 5. Although to the detriment of PHILLIPS and double World Champion
Eero REMES (SF - TM), who also had a difficult weekend in Spoleto (- /
