Brits in Clover 5 Oswestry based Enduro riders made a 1600 mile round trip to compete in the 31st Trefele Lozerien in Mende. Southern France. Paul Herbert (above) topped the ve1 class after 14 special tests and over 600km of going, the semi ginger was not a fan of the 27 degree heat but reviled on day 2 in the cooler conditions on some very slippery terrain. Robert Cooke finished 4th in ve1 riding out of his skin, narrowly missing out on 3rd spot by less than 0.8 of a second after over 1hr 6mins of special tests. Stephen Ethelston worked hard to earn a well deserved 6th in class. Peter Morris 52nd in the heavily contested ve2 class had in his own words 'a great laugh'.Mike Cooke times improved dramatically throughout the 3 days and managed a top 30 in class. Jack Cadwallader single handedly provided a fuel service even the top teams were in admiration of and will return next year aiming to add a little French silverware to his ever expanding collection.
