Gas Gas is pleased to announce the incorporation of Giovanni Sala as head of the Gas Gas Enduro Factory Team. The enduro legend is to be the new Team Manager leading the brand's competition project in this speciality.

Giovanni Sala will be the new cornerstone of the Gas Gas Enduro Factory Team. The Italian legend of enduro and raids, 53, has been the figure chosen by Gas Gas to lead the brand's new project in the EnduroGP World Championship.

In this way, the ex-rider from Bergamo, one of the characters most loved and appreciated in the paddock, returns to the maximum level of international competition but this time with the colours of Gas Gas, to direct and bring all his human experience and knowledge to the official enduro team. A team undergoing full restructuration and with a prevision for new additions and big changes for the next season.
Gio Sala has a very impressive curriculum indeed. His friendliness and generosity have always made this multiple World Champion the very best of ambassadors for the sport in the paddock. His is an example which is to be admired and he has a multitude of enthusiastic followers and fans all over the world.

Throughout his prolific sports career, the Italian ex-rider has accumulated an endless list of successes among which stand out his 6 titles as World Champion of Enduro - five in his category and one overall - and his 52 victories in World Championship GPs, together with the 5 victories achieved with Italy in the ISDE - four of these in the World Trophy category and one in Club. Some of the Six Days where the Italian has been named as an absolute winner on three occasions.

With multiple individual and team awards for a true off-road myth, he also holds 19 titles in Italy - 13 category and 6 overall - and a third place on the podium of the prestigious 2006 Dakar Rally.
