British Enduro Championship
Rounds 4&5 - Lauder, Scotland

Alex Snow maintains grip on E1

The British Enduro Championship moved north this weekend to visit Dirt Bike Evolutions new venue for this Championship Event .It is a beautiful location on the top of a hill overlooking the impressive Thirlistane Castle and Scottish border town of Lauder.

The weather was hot and sunny with only a small rain shower early Saturday morning so the conditions were dry and dusty with the occasional bog to contend with.

For the championship riders they had to contend with 6 laps with two special tests per lap , one longer cross test and one short one . This meant a good 7 hours riding.

The two tests had technical river crossings, steep ascents, bridges, bogs and fast green fields.

Buildbase Honda's Alex Snow had a slow start, struggling to find the times he wanted, although he kept working and gradually pulled back to achieve a 1 st in class and 5th Overall on day one.

Day two started sunny and bright, the tests had been tweaked to avoid some hazards. Alex gained momentum throughout the day especially in the cross test gaining some top three times, Alex stayed consistent to put the Honda on the podium for 2nd place in E1 for day two and taking a remarkable 6th overall.

Speaking afterwards Alex said "It has been a good new event to the calendar, it suited someone like myself from a motocross background although I wouldn't usually go in that much water without a jet ski!!"

Alex still remains 1st in E1 and 5th overall in the British championship standings, Alex now is looking forward to the next round of the British Sprint Championship at Brakehill Farm.
