The
2018 edition of the Beta Transmontana Rally
The 2018 edition of the Beta Transmontana Rally - the largest enduro
competition in America that is run in pairs or teams - made a triumphful
return to Tucumán, Argentina last weekend.
In 2017, the competition attracted 1530 participants and was won by the
current World and Italian Champion Junior Matteo Cavallo (Beta Boano) with the
runner up Argentinean Diego Llanos (Beta Argentina).
With an entry of 1368 riders the 28th Transmontana was a spectacular event
run over 4 days including the Expo reserved for sponsors and advertisers. As
well as the main event there was a stunning prologue to entertain the
spectators.

In the elite class, the victory was won by the pairing of Matías
Giampietri and Matías Giusta (Solomoto-GMR Suspensions-Factory Race), with a
time of 4 hours 03 minutes 29/400 seconds, surpassing the leading couple after
the prologue integrated of Federico Quesada and Gastón Rodríguez (Solomoto
Team) by almost 13 minutes after more than 150 kms of racing through the
Argentinean mountains.

The Beta Transmontana Rally, in turn, closed the Enduro Classics Series
Argentino that brings together the most popular and difficult competitions in
the country, crowning Nicolás Kútulas (Gold Class), Luciano Bellone (Silver
Class) and Oscar Silva (Bronze Class), as the best of the year in this type of
competitions.

The crowds that followed the race revitalised the Province of
Tucumán with an influx of thousands of tourists, many of them
waiting for this international competition all the year with riders from all
Argentina and Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.
