Paul Bolton’s Youth Training Day

The sun was out at Cowm Leisure on Friday for Paul Bolton’s Youth Training Day. Eight lucky competition winners were in for a half-term treat to remember. After running a competition to win a free training day, Paul was surprised that over 50 youths were nominated to take part. Kids were put forward by friends, parents and race organisers for their commitment to enduro.

After the very difficult job of selecting 8 riders for a January training day at Wern Ddu Quarry and having to disappoint the 48 others, Paul knew he had to roll out more days. “The day at Wern Ddu was an opportunity for me to give back to the sport that I love. Seeing what a difference it made to these kids, I wanted others to have the same opportunity. Robin Scarry at Impressive flooring, Cowm Quarry and our company Dirt Bike Spec supported the additional day, which allowed 8 more youngsters to have the experience free of charge. It’s been a wicked day and they have made so much progress. They are pumped to go home and practice the drills and new skills they have learnt!”

Paul is working towards introducing a Youth Academy for 2020, but in the run up to that, he would love to put on a few more days over the course of the year for other youths to take part in a free day. So if you are a company or individual that would like to get involved and do your bit to support the next generation of enduro riders, drop Paul and Lisa an email at info@dirtbikespec.com …it will be well worth it!
