HardEnduroSeries Germany: Hentschel wins anniversary race in Meltewitz The first decisions in the second season of the HardEnduroSeries Germany
were made in the hardest HESG race ever. X-Grip Prolog Award - Scharl takes the lead again The prologue in Meltewitz was completed on a short Superenduro-like lap. All riders had the possibility to drive 2 laps on time, where the best time went into the classification. Leon Hentschel set the best time first, but was countered directly by Robert Scharl. With this prologue victory the man from Taufkirchen takes the overall lead again. Behind Scharl it became however very close because Paul-Erik Huster built on a strong performance from Hamma, and was even able to drive himself on place 2. A look at the result shows how close it was, because the top 3 were only 0.2 seconds seperated from each other, which probably means the narrowest result ever in a prologue of the HardEnduroSeries Germany.
The MelzExdrähm was held over the distance of 3h. Whereby the winner is waved off first as always in the HESG. So at the end there were 3 hours and 14 minutes in the result lists for winner Leon Hentschel, who could finally win his first victory in front of his sponsor Triebwerk Energy. Until then, several hours of hard work on the 7 kilometer long lap were on the agenda. Right at the beginning there were some surprises because Mirko Fabera came best through the new stone field what the club with the name "Spain" named. The engines and emotions of all the riders were the most intense there. Hentschel and Scharl held back a bit at first, because Paul-Erik Huster passed the timekeeping of round 1 on place 2. Behind Scharl followed Marcel Teucher and Leon Hentschel from round 1 on place 5. This time, however, Hentschel showed a controlled driving style and made up place after place in the course of the race. At the halfway point of the race he was at the top for the first time and was able to distance himself from the field with fast lap times. Behind him the places changed almost every lap. Scharl had his trouble at the beginning to keep the pace of the others in the stone-field and dropped back to place 7. Huster, Fabera, Teucher and Lötzsch duelled for 2nd place. In the last hour of the race, Scharl's time came when he also pushed his rivals place by place. In the last lap he was able to push Paul-Erik Huster out of second place. So we all expect a dream final in Schwepnitz because Scharl is now leading with 1 point ahead of Hentschel. First title decisions However, the first decisions were already made in Meltewitz. With his ninth class win, Dirk Peter was able to win the senior classification just as early as Lucas Müller in the juniors. Now the drivers have some time to prepare for the final. On 19.10. this will follow in Schwepnitz with a big Championship Party.
