The return of the sun brightened up the Covid 19 gloom for the 2nd round of the Wales and West Summer Series at Platch Farm near Ewyas Harold.

Round 1 had been held at the same venue in August and Extreme specialist Charlie Frost had taken the overall win on a Eurotek KTM. 2019 Champion Rhys Davies was runner up with Dave Walsh in 3rd. Sunday's event was over subscribed and a full entry of 160 riders included 22 Experts.

Clerk of the Course Glen Thomas flagged the first rank away at 11.00am. Curtis Colcombe took the holeshot ahead of  Rhys Davies and  Tim Foreman. Platch Farm's steeply sloping woodland can be challenging but the W&W team had added some new pasture land on the 6 mile lap for a breather. The extended course included a log pile and a very sociable bull.

At the end of the first lap Rhys Davies led on the W Mounter KTM from Ashley Maller with Alfie Webb in 3rd but Rhys got wire caught in his wheel and he dropped back to 5th,

After the halfway pit stop Alfie Webb topped the leader board - one minute ahead of Rhys Davies with Ashley Maller in 3rd and this was the final result. Dean Edwards was 4th, Shawn Buchan was 5th and Tim Forman was 6th. They all completed 11 laps,
