FREEMAN AND HOLCOMBE ON THE ENDUROGP PODIUM

On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of June the second act of the Enduro World Championship took place in Edolo (BS).

The tracks have been designed by Motoclub Sebino, which has provided three special tests to be repeated four times, on both days of the race, partly following the routes of the 2018 World Championship.

The order of the race path of the Italian stage of the Enduro World Championship included a difficult and selective Enduro Test, followed by an equally tricky and fast Cross Test and at the end an Extreme Test, located along the Oglio river, characterized by sandy and stony terrain.

Brad Freeman clearly dominated both days of the race setting a pace impossible for his direct opponents.

In the opening day Brad Freeman obtained the best time in five special tests going to win the Enduro GP and the E3 Class. On the following day Brad Freeman pushed even more on the accelerator. The English rider was in the lead from the first to the last special test, and set the best overall time in seven of the twelve special tests.

Steve Holcombe arrived in Edolo with a physical problem due to a crash during the GP of Portugal which caused an injury to two ribs.
The British rider suffered the injury more than expected, but after a rather difficult Day One, he attacked on the final day.
Despite the three challenging special tests, the high temperatures and a form not at the top, the British rider got a great second place in the E2 Class and a third place in the Enduro GP.

On Saturday, Antoine Criq (Team OXMoto) also achieved an excellent result, finishing third in the EJ2 Class.

At the end of the second round of the 2021 Enduro World Championship, Beta Factory Team riders remain in the top positions of the Overall Class with Brad Freeman leading the Enduro GP and undisputed leader in the E3 Class and Steve Holcombe who ranked 3rd in the Enduro GP and 2nd in the E2 Class.

The Enduro World Championship will take a short break before move to Estonia on the weekend of July 16, 17 and 18.
The following weekend the Swedish GP will take place on the unusual dates of Thursday 22, with technical checks and Super Test, Friday 23 with Day One and Saturday 24 July the final day.

BRAD FREEMAN
"It was a perfect weekend. On Saturday I was able to do my best in the end and win the Enduro GP as well as the E3 Class. In the following day I didn't make any mistakes, I rode my Beta consistently and strongly in all special tests and in the end I came the double win in the Enduro GP and E3 Class."

STEVE HOLCOMBE
"I tried to do my best on Saturday but the pain in my ribs was really hard. I gritted my teeth but I couldn't get on the podium. On Sunday I was able to be more consistent and in the Cross Test, where I recorded the best Overall time, I rode with a consistent speed that give me the victory. Now my goal is to recover as best I can from the ribs injury in view of the next GPs".
