FREEMAN MAINTAINS THE ENDUROGP LEAD On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July the third round of the Enduro World Championship took place in Estonia, on the Saaremaa island. Motoclub Redmoto designed a seemingly easy race at first impression, on a mostly flat course. However, the tracks were made very treacherous by the characteristics of the terrain: this was sandy and full of holes in the Enduro Test, very dusty in the motocross track where the Cross Test took place and particularly hard in the Extreme. The last one was a very fast and long test, lasting over seven minutes.
On the following day Freeman started very determinedly, recording very good times from the first special tests. The battle for first place was exciting. Brad was in first position all day but unfortunately in the end he lost the first position of the Enduro GP by only 0.45 seconds due to some mistakes. The British rider strengthened his championship lead to 17 points over his rivals. A difficult season for Steve Holcombe at the moment, the rider was still recovering from his injury suffered in Portugal, where he broke his ribs, and in Estonia he suffered a new ankle injury. For this reason he was very cautious for all the race. Steve's aim over the weekend was therefore to collect as many points as possible and his final score is two fourth places in the E2 class.
STEVE HOLCOMBE The enduro world championship moves now to Skovde where an unusual
Swedish GP will be run on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th July while the super
test is scheduled for Thursday 22nd July.
