Jono Richardson wins the 2022 Valley's Xtreme.

The tree covered slopes of Walter's Arena near Glyneath echoed to the sound of the Valleys Xtreme this weekend.

Saturday's Timed Prologue blew a blustery tune as Storm Malik rolled over South Wales' Valleys. Keelan Hancock set the Fastest Time ahead of Jonathan Richardson and Sam Winterburn. Event favorite David Knight clocked 87mph on the long straight before taking an unexpected detour via Swansea A&E to off load gravel after an high speed crash.

On Sunday morning the sky was bright and clear as the storm had abated.

The AM race was called Xtreme Lite but many of the bikes didn't get the meme, Aleks Tomisic was the winner. Harry Conner was 2nd, Dylan Williams 3rd. Neil Thomas 4th and Pascal Berlingiere 5th.

The Main Race was flagged away at 12.30pm. After a staggered start Jarvis Racing Team rider Jonathon Richardson took an early lead and he went on to become the overall winner with a cheque for £1000, Steven Hancock was the runner up. Jack Spencer was 3rd overall and Jack Price was 4th. 2020 winner Paul Bolton admitted before the race he hadn't clocked up a lot of bike time but it soon came back to him and he finished 5th. Aleks Tomisic - winner of the morning race - finished 9th. A staggering achievement. Tom Knight was 8th fastest in qualifiying but he had to withdraw as a 2nd storm - Corrie - threatened to halt the Isle of Man ferry services..
