Jonny Walker finishes third overall at SuperEnduro in Hungary Britain's Jonny Walker has finished third overall at round two of the 2022 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in Hungary. Amazingly consistent throughout the event's three Prestige class finals, the Beta RR 300 rider ultimately earned a place on the event's overall podium, in third, behind Billy Bolt and Taddy Blazusiak. Despite the Hungarian track being much drier and a lot more slippery than the Polish circuit at round one, Walker quickly adapted to the dry dirt and posted the third fastest time during the Superpole qualifying session. Knowing that he had the speed to challenge for the podium, the experienced SuperEnduro racer got his night off to a fantastic start by finishing third behind Blazusiak and Bolt in the first of three finals, less than 10 seconds from winner Bolt. The night's second final, featuring the often-troublesome reversed start
line-up, thankfully didn't serve up any problems for Jonny. Quickly getting to
the front of the race, he again battled for a top three result, ultimately
finishing third and right on the rear wheel of Blazusiak. With two rounds of the 2022 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship complete, Jonny sits fourth in the series standings tied on points with third placed Taddy Blazusiak. The FIM SuperEnduro World Championship now moves on to Israel for round three, on March 3rd. Jonny Walker: "It was a good night for me. Three third place results to get on the podium in third is really positive. I felt like my speed was good. There were a few places on the track where the guys ahead of me were a little faster, but overall, I was really happy with my riding and my bike. The track was a lot drier than we had in Poland, but it was fun to race. I'm really looking forward to the next round now, these first two events have been good for me, and with some more work before I go to Israel, I know I can get a little faster."
