Slick Tricks at Corwen WORDS : WES-EM "The Weekend of action last Sunday Nr Corwen was run in "slick" conditions shall we say....Slick under foot and slick the way the WOR team made the best of what they could.... Working with a land owner that moves goal posts on the go is never fun and thankfully something that NEVER happens in the bigger scheme of things ..A big lesson was learned by the WOR team as the weekend unfolded ..but the the delivery of a true old school hare n hounds enduro event was 100 percent achieved .
The Juniors then took to a bigger circuit ( still small for a normal WOR) and again the atmopshere was superb with the racing really close and great fun. Top Rider was Harri Farrell with a start to finish winning ride... All the kids doing so well though as they blasted out the laps. Then after some super hard work from the core WOR team ...the 5 mile FULL lap was ready to go at 1pm for a shortened 2hr Hare N hound ...It was a cracker to be fair with lots of stand out rides ... Very quiet, which was a shame considering it was a new venue ...but still full of quality riding and racers...Top man eventually being James Elvin again as his run of form continues. Much more of a shout out in Steves race video wrap up this week. A massive thanks as always to all involved in making these events work.. The medics, caterers, onsite WOR shop, Staff, results team etc ...BUT MOST OF ALL the loyal and regular riders that make it all happen.

The
Auto Race (Rd 9 ) was a cracking blast for the GROWING following of PW50's, KTM
and HUSKY 50's and the like and the atmosphere again was a great one with riders
and mum's / dad's / familys all mucking in and enjoying. Top Riders again was
Alfie Elvbin and Tomi Huw Roberts as they blasted round chasing each other for
the overall win.. Alfie taking it in the end.

DETAILS OF A TWEAKED END TO THE SERIES and the next events out this week as
Steve finalises them..But a heads up is that the proposed events at LLANDOVERY
and MEIFOD will NOT be taking place .. Coney Green will the LAST RD of WESS and
AUTOS on 7/8th October ..(double points etc ) with the WESS wildcard being run
end of Oct ...Also a heads up is that the Presentation / party evening for 2022
and 2023 series will be at the PLAS HAFOD HOTEL on Saturday 27TH JAN 2024..
