GH M/cs & G&B Finch Muntjac Enduro

19th November – Thetford Forest

The final round of the GH Motorcycles/Husqvarna ACU Eastern Enduro Championship takes place in Thetford Forest on Sunday 19th November. All eyes will be on 2022 Champion Luke Parker – Gas Gas who is leading the Championship with 97 points from Ben Clark Beta UK who is in second on 81 points. The top ACU Eastern Riders include Ben Cole, GH Motorcycles 450 Husky, Jake Nicholls 350 Gas Gas who finished 2nd overall on the recent Butley Enduro, Will Hughes 250 Gas Gas, Jake Roper 250 Gas Gas and MX Expert riders Sam Nunn and Lewis Tombs trying their hands at enduros. The top ACU Eastern riders will have hot competition as the multi-world champion Steve Holcombe has entered and is hoping to ride.

In the expert class, James Yearley has already won the ACU Eastern title, but the class has some quality riders from all over the UK so expect James will have his work cut out. The Clubman and various vet classes are yet to be decided.

The event continues to be popular and filled up with 200 riders in less than 10 minutes, plus 60 reserves!

The start time will be 09.00 with the test timed for Championship Class on laps 1, 2 & 3 and then championship riders will face back-to-back tests on lap 4 before riding their final tight 5th lap. Experts should have 5 laps with 3 timed tests and Clubmen 4 laps with 2 special tests timed. Veteran class riders in expert and clubman will have a slightly modified riding schedule so riders will need to check their schedule.

Race numbers and background will be provided by Phil Roper from Indigo Ross/ID Decals so many thanks for this. Please make sure numbers are fitted before scrutineering so bring some dry cloths to ensure they are securely attached as the weather can be pretty damp at this time of year. Also keep them clean for tests and time controls as the event does not have transponder timing.

As ever, we must thank our long-term sponsors, GH Motorcycles and G&B Finch and all officials, marshals and helpers that enable us to run this event. We wish all riders a safe and successful day. Please respect our forest, use environment mats for all refuelling, plus any generators must have an environmental mat. Please also don’t leave any litter and follow the regulations and final instructions.
