Johnny Aubert wins the third place in the E2 class.

Brioude, France, a few kilometers from Sant Flour where last year was held the last round of the Enduro World Championship, the enduro circus has closed the gates of the 2014. A weekend of ups and downs for the Beta Factory Team but the goals of the season have been accomplished with great satisfaction by the whole team.

We start from the E2 class with our top rider Johnny Aubert who took the third place overall. The French weekend did not start in the best way for Johnny because after the first three special stages run beautifully, a first, a second and a third fastest time of the class, in the cross test the French rider fell tumbling to the ground, fortunately without sustaining serious consequences. The first day of the race unfortunately ended with a zero in the standings but with the awareness on the part of everyone to get a good result the next day considering the incredible speed demonstrated by Johnny Aubert. And so it was, Day 2 ended with a good third place in his class, scoring two best times in the eleven special tests carried out and giving his first world podium at the Beta Factory Team. Though weekend for Oriol Mena who got a fourth place in day one, but was forced to retire on day two, due to some physical problems, he ended the championship with a great fifth place in the E2.

Bitter weekend for our Luis Correia, E3, who arrived in France with the aftermath of the crash in Lumezzane, in the first day of race in France he crashed, reopening the wound, not yet healed, of the Italian GP. Luis gritting his teeth barely finished Day One. Unfortunately, the next day the pain in the arm was too high special after special and at the end the withdrawal was inevitable marking a heavy zero in the standings. Luis finishes the championship in sixth place.

In the Enduro Junior class the Beta Factory Team wins a good final second place with our Giacomo Redondi and celebrates also the world title won by Danny McCanney, rider supported by us. Many congratulations to Danny and the whole team Costa Ligure Beta Boano for the awesome job done throughout the season.

JOHNNY AUBERT "Before I came here in France I thought I was able to get back my second place of class but yesterday I fell in the second cross test bringing a strong bruise to the ribs and hitting hard the head. A really shame because in the first three special tets I went very fast. Today, however, I did my best but Pela Renet and Alex Salvini were faster than me and I finally got a good third place. I think it was a good season for me and for the team, there is not a victory of the day but we have reached the third place in the E2 class."

LUIS CORREIA "Not a good weekend for me, I arrived in France to conquer and reconfirm the Top Five of the world Championship and point to the first podium of the season but I fell tumbling to the ground and I have opened up again the points of the arm injured at the GP of Italy . The next day I tried to run but the pain was too strong and I lacked the strength to tighten the handlebar. We decided not to continue the race and honestly I'm quite heartbroken for not have achieved the goal of the season. "

GIACOMO REDONDI "This weekend Larrieu went really fast and I tried in every possible way to win but I did not. On Day One, I also tried to attack Danny McCanney but I made a mistake and I hit a tree suffering a fracture to the little finger of the right hand. Today, however, I have only completed the day because I could not use the throttle and the brake lever in a proper way. "

ITALIAN ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP 2014
PEDEROBBA (TV)
Tough race, but great results!

Scorching heat, binding and very technical special test, a very spectacular enduro test with some extreme enduro features, these were the characteristics of the sixth round of the Assoluti d'Italia Enduro Championship held last weekend in Pederobba, near Treviso, north-east Italy.

Our riders have once again proven their great abilities and disputed an excellent race. The score of the Beta Factory Team is a victory in the Foreigners class for the French rider Johnny Aubert and his second place in the overall, only a few seconds behind the winner. A second place in the E2 class for Giacomo Redondi and a great fourth place for the Portuguese rider Luis Correia in the Foreigners class.

Despite his second place, Johnny Aubert can still win the overall title and the championship result will be determined at the last round of the championship in September. Unfortunately Johnny made two mistakes that compromised the final result, he won five out of the twelve special stages and was in the lead until the last two stages of the race.

The E2 class has been rather balanced and Giacomo Redondi has performed well in Pederobba. His second place is the result of a race disputed with perseverance, concentration and without making mistakes.

Eighth overall and fourth in the Foreigner class, this is the score of Luis Correia. The Portuguese rider has revealed his technical skills and he set amazing times in some of the special tests. The next (and last) round of the Assoluti is scheduled for 27 and 28 eptember in Edolo, near Brescia. An event not to be missed is the penultimate round of the Enduro World Championship in Lumezzane, also near Brescia, on the first weekend of August.

JOHNNY AUBERT "I made two mistakes that were fatal to get the first place but I'm still satisfied with the result because both me and the whole team we did our best. We still have two days of competition in the next round and everything can happen and we will fight to win. "

LUIS CORREIA "This race was a good workout for the Grand Prix of Lumezzane. After a first initial mistake I found a good rhythm and I entered the top-ten in the overall. Now I will concentrate to get my first world podium of the season. "

GIACOMO REDONDI "A positive second place for the Assoluti championship and throughout the race I recorded some good times. To be honest Alex Salvini has a much higher riding level so I am happy with the result. "

ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP HEINOLA GP OF FINLAND

Aubert twice on the podium!

The Enduro World Championship moved to northern Europe for the two close Scandinavian rounds, the GP of Finland and the GP of Sweden. Last weekend was held the Finnish round, the fourth of the season. The race course was located in Heinola, a small and picturesque town about 100 km from Helsinki. The three special stages had the typical characteristics of the Nordic lands, with sandy surfaces, lots of slippery roots and rocks that have put a strain on all the riders in the race.

In the E2 class, Johnny Aubert with the Beta RR 450 started the race with the right foot and finished third on the opening day. The following day he found a better pace and stayed in first place for most of the race, but he made a mistake in the extreme test and finished the race in second place. However, the good results proved that Johnny is fast and that every member of the Beta Factory Team is doing a great job.

In the E3 class, Luis Correia made another good performance with the Beta RR 300 2T, on both days of the race he managed to get into the top five, finishing fifth. The Portuguese rider has alternated good performances by setting some good times in some special stages, Cross Test and Extreme Test, to others in which he suffered and committed too many mistakes.

In the Enduro Junior class, Giacomo Redondi, with the Beta RR 250 2T, did not a brilliant race, despite his great condition. Giacomo made some mistakes and on both days of the race and he did not manage to get on the podium, finishing fourth and fifth. In the standings Giacomo remains in second place and he will surely get back to fight for the first place in Sweden the next weekend.

JOHNNY AUBERT "Yesterday I did a good race but made a few mistakes too, the gap with the first two riders at the end of the race was too big. Today, however, I immediately pushed hard and gave my best throughout the day, but in the end I made a mistake in extreme test and I lost all the advantage I had. A part of me is happy with the result and the other is disappointed because we came twice very close to victory. With the team we are working hard and we all want and deserve a victory. "

LUIS CORREIA "For me it was a difficult weekend because I really struggled to ride on this kind of terrain and surfaces. The two results, however, were positive and I'm working hard to get the first podium of the season. "

GIACOMO REDONDI "Nothing positive in this weekend, especially for the many mistakes I made during the two days and only a few good times in the stages. However, the championship is long and I can still recover the lost ground. In Sweden I’ll be back to fight for the first position from the very first special stage. "
