WOR Events Hare Scrambles
Manor Park / September 2014

"GO WEST!"
Report : Keith Williams.
Pics by CWL PHOTOGRAPHY

"Manor Park last Sunday had perfect weather to go with a perfect track as the WOR Events team revisited the venue for the final time this year. A superb 4.5mile lap was plotted that had lots of features and interesting bits for the riders to tackle as well as enjoying the fast and flowing nature of the course. A very healthy turn out over the 2 days ensured that the hard work of putting on such an intricate track was well received by the riders and racers alike.

The racing was dominated throughout the majority of the classes by Husqvarna Machinery, Like a sea of White and Blue is the only way of describing the popularity of these machines at the current crop of WOR races.

WOR supported rider Alex West was debuting a brand new TE300 and hoping for some good luck to come his way after recently having had the speed but no rub of the green when it came to getting results and bike reliability. This all changed last Sunday as the 20 year old West grabbed his opportunity with both hands and put in a fantastic ride. Leading from start to finish in the 2.5hr Hare Scramble, The Wirral based rider did not put a foot wrong and took the Expert and Overall win on the CF Racing machine with an eventual 29 second win over runner up, MRS Sherco rider, Gethin Humphreys. To beat Gethin who was flying on the 2502t is testament to the race pace of West, Great racing indeed from all the top 4 WOR experts as Tim Forman on the 4t KTM and West's WOR team mate, George Price again on a CF racing Husky were the only riders to complete 17 laps.

Rossi Davies is now fully adapted to his Husqvarna TE 125 after moving up from his 85cc and again put in a brilliant ride top the newly combine Clubman class from Tom Edwards and Matt Sylvester in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Edwards managing to put the big Kawasaki 450 in the middle of Davies 2t and Sylvester's 2t Husky.

Again on the White and Blue machinery it was Justin Carter who dominated the Over 40 group with a race long lead and victory. Carter was hunted down by Julian Rylance and Barry Boustead with Julian just getting by the flying Locksmith Boustead on the last lap.

Colin Jones took his new 250 mx Husky to the top step of the Over 50's podium with Colin Griffiths (KTM 300) as consistent as ever in the runners up spot and Richard Lewis (KTM) in 3rd spot.

The Sportsman group was topped by Chaz Davies, Yes that one! With a very smooth ride that was part of a bike fitness exercise. Angus Morison and Arron Brooks took the other podium spots with very good rides to their credit.

Dale Jones led the Sportsman Vets group home from his mate, John Jones in the runners up spot and Michael Savin in 3rd place.

Top Youth rider was Ed Emery having a good ride out on his dad's bike and topping the class from Sion Jones and Chloe Richards with a lap more to his credit.

In the Novice group it was Martin Walker dominating the class from Tom Carter and Scott Cunningham with Cunningham enjoying only his 2nd ever Hare Scramble.

The small but very quick Quad group rode for a separate 2.5hr race earlier in the day and top man was Young Matty Morris whom was simply flying on his Yamaha as he pushed Steve Williams (Polaris) and Paul Horwood into the silver and Bronze placing. The quads were certainly spectacular to watch across the faster parts of the course.

Expert rider Harry Eccles had a nasty fall and an overnight stay in hospital form has luckily revealed some serious bruising as opposed to any nasty breaks, so a big get well soon to young Harry from all the team and riders at WOR.

The event was a cracker with again satisfied riders and racers having enjoyed a great couple of days racing at this superb new WOR venue.. The club look forward to returning there next Spring/Summer.

The next project on the agenda for the WOR team is the new Winter Hare Scrambles series which kicks off for Solo and Quads on October 4/5th in a couple of weeks time.

WOR EVENTS 6Hr ENDUROTHON TEAM & IRONMAN
Pics by CWL PHOTOGRAPHY
Report by WOR MEDIA

WOR Events rolled back the clock last weekend and ran a 6hr 2man team and Ironman enduro and it went down very well indeed. The club used to run them way back and the trend of shorter races came about the 6hr duration steadily dropped to 4hrs in recent years.

Baden Hall was the setting and it really delivered with a course that had everything for everyone, The WOR track builders remit was to get a big lap that would entertain the riders for the duration of such a long event and to try and utilise every bit of the brilliant Staffordshire venue, they did this with style with a lap that was an average of 25 minutes to complete and in distance was nearly 7 miles in trees, outcrops, woodlands and military shooting ranges.

Starting at 9.30 am and running through till 3.30 pm the weather, track and atmosphere was superb as a very healthy number of riders took part in both the team and Iron man sections. A separate 2hr race for those that just fancied a normal blast was also included in the schedule starting at 1.30pm and running through till the end of the 6hr Endurothon, so as you can see the day really did cater for everyone.

Will Emery and Ross Davies were the top performing team and Gareth Lloyd was the top performing Solo rider but all of the teams and Iron men deserved a pat on the back and a well done for the effort and superb camaraderie that engulfed the event.

Using this event as a tester to gauge if the future holds more of them then a resounding yes came from the paddock and a new 6 hr event is in the planning.

Full results are at www.worevents.com  and Pictures are available from cwl photography on facebook.

WOR's very busy August schedule with 3 events at 3 quality venues is now also available on the clubs website.

WOR EVENTS HAWKSTONE PARK 2HR HARE SCRAMBLE RACE
THE ALED EVANS MEMORIAL
SUNDAY 20/4/14

Report : K.Williams

"The Sunday after the TOUGH ONE was business as usual for the WOR Events team as they ran a superb RED session and a 2 hour Hare Scramble race which for the 6th year on this date was the Aled Evans Memorial race. After a minutes silence of respect for Aled, The 100 plus rider line up started in perfect conditions on the demanding Hawkstone track and blasted off on the near 4mile loop. Using 95% of the MX track and lots of the flowing woodlands, the course was perfect.

Lee Sealey in the Experts was on great form early after a great ride the day before in the T1....Sealey was the leader for the majority of the early stages of the race and the little Husqvarna 125 was screaming. Never far behind was another Husqvarna mounted rider, Joe Wootton on the 300TE. Wootton was in fine form and took the lead never to look back with a really neat and stylish display. Wootton eventually finished a comfortable 4 minutes clear of runner Sealey and 7 minutes clear of the hard charging Kawasaki rider Alex West. All 3 did 16 laps. By winning the event Wootton also will take care of the coveted Aled Evans memorial shield for the next 12 months.

Dave Salkeld was the top man in the Expert Veterans and he had a proper ding dong with CF Racing boss Gareth Lloyd. In the end it was a 4 minute cushion for Salkeld but alot of the race early on was bar to bar... The Bronze place went to Dean Johnson at last having a bit of luck an da decent finish for his efforts. All 3 completing 15 laps.

Matt Solan wrapped up the Clubman 2t class with a great ride and was also the best Clubman. Solan pulled 3 minutes over runner up Ryan Martin with Jack Cadwallader a further couple of minutes behind in 3rd place.

Over in the Clubman 4t class Ben Roper was the third placed podium rider albeit a lap down on runner up Rhys Evans and class winner Henry Partridge. Gary Jones took a well deserved Clubman Veteran win from the hard charging Wayne Johnstone. Johnstone riding well considering he does not get on a bike much these days.

Top Sportsman was Kieran Mcavoy whom was a total Trier all weekend, Taking part in the Tough One, the RED and the 2hr XC race...Mcavoy led the Sportsman home from runner up, Jade Gordon who was going really well on her dads Sherco 4t. Third place went to Mark Otte.

Sportsman Veteran victory spoils went to Duncan Humphrey who once again showed riding skills well below his 50 plus years. Runner up was Ian Sigley with a well deserved strong ride and Steve Rodgers taking his first podium in class with a smart performance.

Young Dean Edwards always goes well and he put in another class winning ride in the Youth class, topping the group by 45 seconds from runner up, Max Griffin. Daniel Davies was 1 minute behind in 3rd spot.

James Cook Thomas, Tom Powis and Keith Jones took the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots in the Novice group in that order.

The event rounded off a superb weekends action for everybody involved at the event, and once again remembered a fallen friend and warrior of WOR Events. www.worevents.com

WOR EVENTS FOREST HARE SCRAMBLE
Sunday 2nd march 2014.

"WOR Events ran a superb season warm up Forest Hare Scramble last Sunday with a 2.5hr race that ran on a brilliant reworked and redesigned track of 8 miles per lap.

The clubs awesome Llandrillo forest complex in North Wales offered a superb, action packed lap with lots of fresh and interesting terrain for the small but committed and quality line up of riders.

A very strong line up of Expert riders were first away for the 11am start as MRS Sherco rider, Gethin Humphreys blasted away to take a start to finish race win in some style. Gethin was untouchable as he blasted the course to pieces in his aggressive and fast style. 8 laps was the target set by the leading 5 riders, Humphreys finishing 4 minutes clear of Runner up, Jon Hunt. Hunt also on a MRS Sherco was in great form and made a storming return to WOR action after leaving the area and being too far to travel to most events. The likeable 16 year old simply in charge of his machine with a controlled and smooth style on the 4t 250. Third place went to Lee Sealey, again this WOR honed youngster was flying on the Husqvarna 1252t and was really impressive over the open moorland sections. Sealey finished 1 minute down on Hunt after an epic battle mid to late race. Damo Butler and Chris Hughes finished as 4th and 5th respectively and the only other riders to be on that magic 8 lap count.

Lyndun Jones and Gareth Lloyd finished 1st and 2nd in that order in the Expert Veterans both on 7 laps.

Matt Solan was flying in the Clubman class and finished a fine 6th overall, Runner up to him and 7th overall was young Jack Cadwallader with another ever improving display of off road riding. Third Clubman was Aled Jones albeit a lap down on 6 laps from the top two, Very bald tyres might have been a reason for Aled's lack of a 7th lap!

Richard Lewis took the Clubman Veteran win from Lee Sephton with both riders tackling the conditions with enthusiasm and vigour.

Top Sportsman was Lee Richards from Neil Stokes and third placed Richard Wozencraft, Top Lady was again Glesni Jones with only 8 seconds stopping her getting on the Sportsman Podium.

Mark Plain returned to WOR after winter break and rode superbly to take the win in Sportsman Veterans from Mark Heaton, only 6 seconds separating the two after over 2.5hrs racing! The bronze finish went to Mr Consistent Stephen Cooper.

Daniel Heath, Daniel Pattison and Lyr Jones were 1, 2 and 3 in that order in the Novice group and finally the Youth class had Dan Gibbons as the top man..

The event was as always ran like clockwork with a friendly and professional atmosphere, The track designers and builders had excelled themselves making this already brilliant forest venue feel like a brand new forest. Well done to all.

WOR's next events are a Playday special weekend on 15/16th March at the fun little sand and pebble quarry nr Stoke on Trent with the following weekend on the 22/23rd March seeing the clubs PUTOLINE HARE SCRAMBLES kick off rd 1 at the super popular Baden Hall venue in Staffordshire.

WOR EVENTS WULFSPORT WINTER ENDURO SERIES
Round 4

Carrog Isa, Nr Llangollen, Sunday 24th November
Report: Keith Williams

"The WOR Events team staged the 4th round of their Wulfsport Winter series last Sunday at the club's very popular Carrog Isa Venue. After a frosty and very busy RED Saturday, the conditions on the Sunday turned to damp, muddy and challenging to say the least. However the Carrog venue has a great all weather paddock and a big, open mountainside, old school hare and hounds enduro course that can always provide a classic in any conditions. There were over a 170 riders that enjoyed the flowing 5.5mile lap and most finished the event too showing that even though challenging and technical in places, the track was doable and enjoyable by all skill levels.

The start was at 11am and had to be delayed by 15 minutes due to the queues at signing on and the late arrival of some riders.

15 Year old Antoine Criq was given a guest ride by the new Husqvarna UK dealers, CF Racing, and was using a brand new TE250 2t. Young Criq rode the bike from the crate apart from the mooses that had been fitted, No messing with the suspension, no bling or aftermarket exhaust pipes etc, just a standard machine. The result was a win for Antoine, The bike looked to be like a magic carpet under him, Resulting in 5 minute plus winning advantage over runner up, Former Trials ace turned Enduro Expert, Gary Jenkins. Jenkins was going well on the Sherco 300 but with Criq pushing so fast and so strong the winner looked a cert from the first couple of laps. Third place went to Aled Humphreys as he collected some more valuable overall points in the series standings, The 15 he got keeping him as the current overall leader in the Wulfsport Winter series with 2 rounds remaining. All the top riders completed 10 laps in the 2 hours.

Shaun Turner took the win in the Expert Veterans as Chris Wagstaff struggled to dial in a brand new Yam 250 2t in the muddy conditions, Shaun riding very well in the mud and loving the 300m Beta 2t. Colin Jones was back at WOR for the first time in a while and had a crash take out his front brake lever within 2 laps putting an early end to his comeback as a WOR expert veteran. Colin on a Kawasaki was funny to take in at first as WOR are so used to seeing him on a Blue bike. Turner and Wagstaff completed 9 laps each.

Top Clubman was local MX rider and bit of an all-rounder, Gary Jones. Jones did an expert matching 10 laps as he easily took the Clubman win ahead of runner up, Rob Hughes and third placed Russ Taylor. Taylor did very well to even take part never mind make the podium as he suffered the mother of all crashes on the Saturday RED and did some stylish cartwheels.

Julian Rylance was the man to beat in the always competitive Clubman Veterans, Rylance led more or less from lap two and put in a 1.5 minute advantage over runner up Anthony Crowe. It was really nice to see Cumbrian rider Crowe get his Mojo back and have a good result, he deserved it as he was riding very smooth and quick in the challenging conditions. Third place went to Gary Morley again another smooth and neat rider in all conditions.

The winning place in the Sportsman class went to Chris Edgerton, The initial results had Chris in the wrong class so the incorrect names were read out at the after race awards ceremony however once corrected it was Edgerton that had took the class win by 2 minutes from Neil Stokes as Runner up and Dewi Davies in 3rd place. All 3on 8 laps.

Over in the Sportsman Veterans, Duncan Humphrey was on top form as he pushed hard to take a well earned class win from runner up Paul Robson by 45 seconds. Robson in turn was another rider really enjoying the tougher than normal conditions as he managed a 1 minute 28 second advantage over third placed Lee Sephton. Sephton however still leads the overall series from Duncan by 8 points although Humprey has dropped a round already.

Jack Cadwallader is the man to beat in the Youth class, The young Shropshire based rider is getting quicker and smoother every ride and will soon be pushing hard in the Clubman class, Jack was on laps with runner up Ryan Cahill on 7 circuits. Cahill is another young rider that is getting better by the race and he managed to complete 1 more lap than Sion Jones in third place. Sion having fun racing and battling with his dad, Rhodri out on the going.

Top Novice was Jack Hogwood, out on his new 500 4t KTM, he made the long journey from Kent with his big crew worthwhile again as he took home the silverware. Runner up was Dan Mckennell with Glyn Jones in a well deserved 3rd spot.

Declan Richards took the top trophy in the 85cc group.

To summarise, The event went like clockwork as you would expect from the WOR team and with No injuries and a flowing track, the weather behaved and all the riders had a cracking weekends sport even if it was the end of November..

WOR EVENTS WULFSPORT WINTER ENDURO SERIES RD 3

COWM QUARRY, NR ROCHDALE. 3/11/13
Race report : Keith Williams
Photos beckys enduro snaps & craig scott

"WOR Events Staged the 3rd round of their WULFSPORT Winter Enduro Series last Sunday at the weather proof Cowm Quarry near Rochdale. The track was first used by WOR back in 2011 for the 8th running of the World Famous Tough One Enduro and this was the clubs first visit back to the moorland based rock quarry since that superb event over 2 years ago.

The weather was cold, wet, windy and tough but the riders and spectators alike turned out in their droves to enjoy a proper winter motorcycle event take place.

The track was just over 3 miles a lap and had allsorts thrown in the mix with uphill's and downhill's, Rocky trails, wet puddles, boggy areas, full moto x and some interesting technical bits scattered around for good measure.

Leading the Experts from start to finish was that young Frenchman and really up and coming Off road rider, Antoine Criq. The young Staffs based rider took his old faithful Yamaha 250 WRF to a fine win as he pushed clear bit by bit, lap by lap from the rest of the pack to finish an eventual 2 minutes and fifteen seconds ahead of runner up Jon Hill. Hill is another young rider that shows that determination and commitment bring results as he battled to secure the silver podium spot after a race long battle with 3 other experts that were all in the mix together, George Price, Edward Briscoe and Aled Humphries. Briscoe finally taking the 3rd spot as Welsh forest Specialist Humphries and the newly promoted Expert Price finished in 4th and 5th place respectively. Great racing by all though and they clocked up 16 laps a piece.

Top Clubman Veteran was Mick Boam on his Beta 2t. Boam was totally at home on the slippery rocks and used all of his feet up trials skills to comfortably take the class win and in fact be the fastest Clubman overall. Runner up was Gary Morely, Gary is always there or thereabouts near the podium when he attends a WOR Event and it was a good solid 15 laps and a 2 minute advantage that he took over the Bronze award finisher, Stephen Parry. Parry is enjoying a new lease of life in the Veteran class and is building up his trophy collection almost weekly with the WOR.

Russ Taylor was again the man to beat in the Clubman but it took a penultimate lap pass on his rivals to finally seal the win in his group. Second placed Clubman was Dan Hurd with Jack Chapman in 3rd place. Taylor managed to just sneak through and get a 16th lap as opposed to Hurd and Chapman's 15 a piece.

Things were very close indeed over in the competitive Sportsman class as all 3 top riders finished on 15 laps and were less than 20 seconds apart after 2hours plus of racing. Top Sportsman was Brandon Sharples, the youngster was really going well as was the runner up, Josh Bailey with Joe Edge taking a very solid third place only 5 seconds down on Bailey.

Chris Vines was in great form on his Husaberg in the Sportsman Veterans as he stormed to a near 4 minute advantage over second placed Shane Marriot with the ever improving Stephen Cooper in a solid 3rd place. All the 3 top Sportsman Veterans did 14 laps.

Jack Cadwallader was flying and managed to top the Youth group by 2 full laps, seemingly to really gel with the Tough Northern conditions Caddy pushed Brad Lilburn and Ryan Cahill into second and third place respectively.

85cc warriors were headed by Declan Richards as he blasted to 12 laps with his sister Chloe on 11 laps. Silje Otte had bad luck with bike trouble causing a DNF and Sion Jones also succumbing to some bike gremlins for an uncharacteristic non finish.

Finally over in the Novice class it was local lad Andy Gammon that took the victory spoils as he simply dug as deep as he could with a broken exhaust, bits falling off his bike, borrowed boots from the race director, and an aching body from helping out the day before on the RED to take the class win by a complete lap ....Gammon would have finished 3rd in the Sportsman with his gritty ride and performance . Runner up was Dan Mckennell whom is getting better by the race and is showing some great signs of form. The final trophy going to Jack Hogwood who made the long, long journey from Kent worthwhile with his first WOR trophy, Well done Jack.

To summarise the weekend went fantastic with a very friendly yet professional atmosphere that you always associate with the WOR Events team. The nasty weather made no difference to the flowing and enjoyable course and Sunday Morning even had a bit of Sunshine! WOR would like to thank the land managers, staff, caterer's, medics and of course the riders and spectators for making this a very successful event indeed.

NB Young Will Criq was taken away by air ambulance after a crash had left him with a broken arm....Will is now home and doing well...Big thanks to all involved and better luck next time Will as you were on for the runners up trophy in the Youth Group.

WOR EVENTS WULFSPORT WINTER ENDURO SERIES RD 2

OCTOBER 20th 2013
COED LLYSTN FOREST.

Report Keith Williams.

"WOR Events put on a brilliant weekends sport despite the dowdy weather with a well supported Race Experience Day on the Saturday followed by the second round of the clubs Wulfsport Winter Enduro Series on the Sunday.

The course was big and flowing with lots of technical and challenging sections along the 7.5 mile route. This forest has been used many times by the WOR over the years but this track was one of the best race boss, Steve Ireland has put on, with a brand new fresh feel to the layout and design and this was backed up with the post race comments from many of the riders.

The 2 hour race started at 10.30 sharp and the riders took off from the fire road start area into a damp and cloudy misty sky... Leading from start to finish with a very fast, neat and powerful ride was 23 year old Luke Williams. Luke from Welshpool is a real talent and after having sometime away from the bikes due to becoming a father and work commitments, he is now back with a bang. Williams was riding a brand new 2 stroke KTM 250 and looked totally at home on it after his recent change from a 250 fourstroke as he completed 8 laps. Round 1 winner Aled Humphries was also on great form and matched the 8 laps of Williams but was a 3 and a half minutes down on the flying orange machine of Williams come the end of the race. Humphries in turn was just over 3 minutes ahead of third placed Expert, George Price. 15 year old Price doing absolutely superb in his first race having moved up into Experts from the Clubman. George completing 8 laps and looking good.

Only two Expert Vets took to the start line but they are two fine riders and matched the 8 laps of the Experts and were very close indeed. Chris Wagstaff was just 1 second ahead of Shaun Turner come the end of 2 hrs and 13 minutes of riding, both riders almost bar to bar crossing the finish line. Turner had a nice cut on his face too from checking the amount of knobbles left on Waggy's rear tyre with too much effort!!!

Top Clubman and the only Clubman to complete 8 laps was as we always say The Evergreen Russ Taylor! Russ is nearly a half century old and just seems to get better each week on his KTM 2t. Taylor beat both the Expert Vets by over 3 minutes and will be stepping up into the Expert Vets class for 2014. Runner up to Taylor on seven laps was Elgan Williams in one of his first races in ages. The conditions suiting the determined Williams as he does like forestry going. Williams was just over a minute ahead of WOR stalwart and regular podium visitor Paul Engerlen, Engerlen putting in his usual determined effort to gain the 3rd place trophy.

Stephen Parry was on great form in the Clubman Veteran class as he blasted to 7 laps and a very comfortable 4 minute lead over runner up Gareth Lloyd. The CF Racing boss having an off day as he rode feeling under the weather, still not to take away from the speed and smoothness of Parry who fully deserved his Gold position. Taking the 3rd place spot on the podium was John Cadwallader, Caddy getting out on the bike for a change as opposed to standing trackside to support his two fast, young sons. Cadwallader was 20 seconds adrift of Lloyd come the end.

Top Sportsman was Neil Stokes with a very strong ride and a 2 minute advantage over runner up François Parkinson. Francois doing well to pull back from 7th place and get to the silver position. Third place went to the hard charging Sean Attard, who had some bad luck. Attard was leading the class and going very well until a front puncture just 3 laps in made him have to try even harder and keep going strong for a podium finish.

Lee Sephton on his Sherco 4t was the deserving winner in the Sportsman Veteran class as he took a 6 minute plus lead from runner up Duncan Humphrey with the ever improving Stephen Cooper in third place. Sephton and Humphrey doing 7 laps with Cooper on 6 circuits.
All 3 riders saying how much they enjoyed the layout and nature of the big track.

There was a clear winner in the Youth class as Ryan Cahill stormed to the win with a big 18 minute advantage over runner up Dafydd Edwards. Cahill and Edwards going really well for 6 laps a piece and young Vinny Wardale too doing awesome to take the 3rd spot on the podium.

Silje Otte did a fantastic 5 laps on her little KTM 85 and topped her group from Chloe Richards and Jack Mills. Really good to see two young girls coming through a race like this with vigour and style, well done ladies.

Finally over in the Novice class it was Dewi Davies with the win and a sportsman level 7 laps that will see him now move up a group.
Runner up was Jacob Stirrup and 3rd place went to Tom Walker.

Summing up was easy, A great event and track that was enjoyed and embraced by all the riders. WOR regular and Novice rider Nick Emery quoted "Cheers Steve for a great weekends riding, The tracks seem to be getting better each time!"

WOR's next event moves up to the Greater Manchester area in a fortnights time at the very popular Back Cowm Quarry in Whitworth near Rochdale with a Race Experience Day on the Saturday followed by a 2 hour Hare Scramble on the Sunday ..Full  details about the event on 2/3rd November are on www.worevents.com  and the Clubs face book group page.

WOR EVENTS WULFSPORT WINTER ENDURO SERIES RD 1
@LLANDRILLO FOREST OCTOBER 6th 2013

Report by Keith Williams. Pictures by TELERI JONES

"A beautifully sunny day greeted the big turn out of riders that took to the start line at the 1st round of WOR 's Wulfsport supported Winter enduro series last weekend. The format of the series is, 5 rounds of 2hr races based on 5 different forest , quarry and private farmland, weather proof venues. This 1st round kicked off in the club's fantastic Llandrillo forest last weekend and was as a cracking 6 mile lap that was taking the fastest riders 14 minutes to complete.

The rider leading after the first lap and the rider leading at the chequered flag was the same guy, Aled Humphries. Aled was on great form and was certainly enjoying the technical yet flowing course that Steve Ireland and his team had created. Aled had a right old battle to win the class though as a very determined Steve Hughes chased on his 4t Kawasaki chased down the flying 2t Yamaha of Humphries. Hughes did get the lead for a while but after fuelling and further race minutes it was Humphries that eventually took the Expert class win with a 25 second margin on Hughes. Third place trophy in class went to Harry Eccles who rode brilliantly as he moved up to the Expert class for the first time matching the required tally of 8 laps.

Chris Wagstaff was in fine form too as he took the expert veterans group by an eventual 4 minutes from runner up Paul Sagar and third placed Shaun Turner.
Turner had in fact got the lead but a crash messed his day and leg up!!.
Wagstaff was going well though and on his lap times would have been hard to beat should Turner not have had that crash. Paul Sagar showed us all why his lad Tom is one of the best riders in the UK as he obviously has his Dad's genes, Paul always putting in a fast and determined ride.

Russ Taylor is getting faster every week and as he steadfastly refuses to ride in the Veteran class his Clubman results are speaking for them self. Taylor took the win with a start to finish lead over two youngsters on the podium that even with their ages combined still do not add up to Russ's. Russ won the class by just over 5 minutes from Runner Up Will Emery who was going great on his Sherco 300. The ride of the day though must go to 3rd placed Clubman, Ross Davies. The 14 year old moved up from the Youth class to the Clubman and put his flying little 85cc Ktm bang on the podium, and with style too! All top clubman riders finished on 8 laps. Over in the Clubman Veteran class it was Mark "Ruderider" Cheetham that was once again the man to beat as he blasted the Kawasaki KLX 450 round the track at big speed. Cheetham managed to get another lap of the track under his belt than Runner Up Gareth Lloyd. Lloyd in turn keeping just over 4 minutes ahead of Sherco 300 mounted bronze placed, Michael Charles.

Top Sportsman was Mike Manley who is another rider in a fine run of form. Manley finished just short of a minute ahead of runner up and top lady, Glesni Jones. Glesni riding her socks off to put in a fantastic season best ride. Third place award went to Frank Parkinson with a very spirited ride after having some nasty off's showing that a bit of determination can reap rewards.

Duncan Humphrey was the top Sportsman Veteran as he pulled a near two minute advantage over Lee Sephton in the runners up spot. Sherco mounted Sephton was 2.5 minutes ahead of third placed Michael Eaton. All 3 finishing on 7 laps.

Jack Cadwallader was again in top form in the Youth class as he breezed to the win in class with an 11 minute advantage over runner up Ryan Cahill. Caddy and Cahill doing 7 laps each to third placed Dafydd Edwards on 6 laps.

Declan Richards and his twin sister, Chloe did brilliantly in the 85cc group as they, along with Reece Pickersgil completed 6 laps each of the big forestry course to podium the class in that order. Well done indeed.

Dewi Davies was flying in the novice class to take 7 laps and class victory from 2nd placed Andy Rich whom was really enjoying himself out on the big track and 3rd placed George Willingham who was enjoying his first ride with WOR and celebrated it with a trophy.

It was a superb event with a cracker of a course that entertained and challenged all the riders and as the post event comments have proved WOR have got this winter series off to a brilliant start.  Results Statistics
