Had to feel sorry for the Normandy Club with the event nearly being cancelled twice due to land issues and with very short notice got Slab Common and luckily the Normandy Club have such a close knit membership that so many came and helped set the course up and made the event happen, and with Rob Mussell doing the majority of the course we knew it would be fast and hairy and was very much a different lap than others events that have staged here and fair play to Normandy for thinking about the lower level ability riders by keeping out of the deep water areas and the deep sandy sinking stuff, lap was just over 5 miles. Woodhouse - NEXC Round 1
The first round of the NEXC Championship got off to a cracking start at Woodhouse Farm, Great Ayton on Sunday 30th March. The North Riding Enduro Club Team had been working hard several weeks before, to design and set out a new course making significant alterations to last years course. It was full of plenty of challenges with a greasy hill climb straight from the start into sweeping corners and up a rocky hill climb, then dropped straight down a steep hill working its way round to a technical rocky, muddy hill climb, which proved quite difficult for some riders. Wade Young battles Paul Bolton

The first Romanian Hard Enduro of the year 'King of the Hill' started on Friday in Arad, Romania. The City Centre Prologue saw Paul Bolton beat South African rising star Wade Young and German Enduro champ and WEC rider Marcus Kehr to be crowned champion. The central park was transformed into an obstacle course of logs, rocks, tyres and constructed wooden jumps and leaps of faith. Crowds packed the street for the spectacle which was televised on national TV. Saturday brought about day one of the mountain race - dry conditions making it a fast charge from start to finish. Wade Young stormed into 1st on his 18th birthday, Paul Bolton 2nd and Marcus Kehr 3rd. Praying for rain to dampen the dusty conditions, Paul was keen to see some more technical terrain emerge for day two, whilst Wade was hoping for it to stay dry! A small shower on Saturday did nothing to alter the terrain and a super fast day two ensued. Paul and Wade battled to the finish- Wade ahead in the full throttle terrain and Paul making passes in the rivers. Rhayader Youth MX Club 
Rhayader Youth MX Club started the season with a fantastic days racing on Sunday 30th March at Cwmithig. The weather was finally on our side and even though it was Mother's Day, the Mum's still turned out to marshal and lap score! With 103 entries, the new committee worked hard to ensure a great days racing and for a lot of riders a chance to ride the track before RYMXC hold the Bridgestone BSMA Clubmans series at Cwmithig on 12th and 13th April.
