Editorial
For 10 years I compiled the British
Enduro Championship standings for the ACU and in the event of a points tie I compared the
places achieved as laid down in the ACU Handbook. At the end of the 2015
season Steve Holcombe and Jamie McCanney were tied. Both riders recorded an
equal number of 1st and 2nd places but Holcombe recorded 2 thirds against
McCanney's single third so - in my opinion - Steve Holcombe won the 2015 ACU
British Enduro Championship. UPDATE 5 days after the
season was over the ACU Trials and Enduro Committee
amended their tie break rule and awarded the Championship to Jamie McCanney, This decision does not alter my opinion
that Steve Holcombe won the 2015 Championship but it does make me question the
role of the T&E committee Bob
Mullins.
