Sam Sunderland leads 2019 Silk Way Rally Stage 4
At 470.19 kilometres the timed special on stage four of the rally was the longest of the event. Consisting of a looped route, that started and finished close to the Mongolian capital of Ulan-Bator, the stage challenged the riders with a variety of terrain including fast open tracks through the plains and rocky roads among the stone pyramids. As the first part of the two-day marathon stage, teams are forbidden from working on the bikes overnight. Details

Humphreys wins Moto X Country opener
The new MXC series kicked off last weekend for the riders with WOR Events providing this new 4 round championship of exciting, fast and flowing 1.5hr races.
The tracks are aimed at being a bit easier than normal hare and hounds enduros but still offering a 3-6 mile lap of fun with rolling grasslands, mx type terrain and some technical bits thrown in the mix. The shorter 1.5hr duration allowing some riders to push harder than in a 2.5hr or 3hr event and also allowing some riders to simply find their feet in the sport and step up to the racing and bigger tracks. Sam Sunderland wins Silk Way Rally Stage 2
Totalling 413.63 kilometres, stage two of the Silk Way Rally’s covered similar mixed terrain to Sunday’s opening stage. Held in the Russian countryside to the south-east of Lake Baikal, the 212.02-kilometre timed special was extremely fast, and at times hazardous for the riders with the stony tracks often hiding additional obstacles and challenges. Accurate reading of the road book was paramount in order to both claim a good time and stay safe along the route. Details

Sprint Enduro Round five of the GH Husqvarna sponsored Eastern Enduro Championships was hosted by the Woodbridge club at their Blaxhall facility on Sunday. The event was held as a sprint type, using part of the motocross circuit, but mainly using the perimeter of the facility.
Current champion, Luke Parker, returned from the European round in Latvia, was in great form, winning all 14 runs on his potent Gas Gas machine. Details
