Sprint

Jack Edmondson retains Sprint title
Holcombe and MacDonald both take a day
In a packed calendar the 2020 ACU Sprint Enduro Championship moved to Rogershill Raceway in Dorset on August Bank Holiday for the 5th and 6th rounds. Storm Francis gave the course a good drenching in the days leading up to the event but strong winds blew the clouds away and Saturday morning dawned bright and clear. Rounds 3 and 4 winner Hamish MacDonald started the day bright and clear by setting the fastest time  Joe Wootton was 2nd and Steve Holcombe was 3rd. With the course and the opposition sized up Steve won the next 7 heats to win the round. Hamish Macdonald was runner up and Joe Wootton was 3rd. Alex Snow was 4th and Jack Edmondson was 5th. Charlie Chater in 11th was the best Expert. Jack Staines won the Clubman class and Sion Aled Evans topped the Youth class. On Day 2 Hamish MacDonald made a strong start 10 seconds faster than Jack Edmondson. In heats 6 and 7 Steve Holcombe put in 2 flying laps but he came up 3 seconds short. Hamish MacDonald was the winner, Steve Holcombe was runner up and Alex Snow was 3rd. Jack Edmondson in 4th had done enough to retain the ACU Sprint Enduro Championship. Results Round 5 Round 6 - Video

Diss MCC

Muntjac Cancelled
Diss MCC and Forestry England have jointly agreed that the Muntjac Motorcycle Enduro on 15th November 2020 will not go ahead as planned. The primary reason is that Forestry England is not prepared to give authority for motorsport or other events which have the potential to generate large gatherings during Covid-19 restrictions. Diss MCC accepts that social distancing could not be guaranteed, even with a reduced number of entries, because of the limited space available for the start/finish area. Whilst this is very disappointing news, Forestry England is still keen for events to take place in the future in their forest. Diss MCC will continue to work closely with Forestry England recognising that the current position will be reviewed in due course. Provisional dates have been submitted for the Muntjac in November 2021 and the Santon in February 2022.
