Alex
Snow wins Welsh 2 Day Report Andy Waters Provisional results based on special test times for day one it looks
like Rhayader’s Alex Walton – 350 Gas Gas has come out on top. Alex battled
it out all day with Alex Snow Gas Gas and after 37 minutes of test times and 140
mile lap, there was less than one second between the two riders with Max Ingham
in 3rd. The championship class riding 4 different special tests all
back-to-back.
In the expert class Rhayader’s Adam James Sherco 300 cleaned up with a 13
second advantage over Ross Danby Beta 300. Clubman winner Ryan Rowlands Sherco
250, also from Rhayader, pulled 24 seconds on 2nd place Shaun Richards Beta 300.
In the sidecar category, David Williams & William Green won the Championship
class. The Expert sidecar winners were Shane Sciller & Brian Anthony and
clubman winners were Thomas Powell and Simon Groves. In the Sportsman class
another rider from Rhayader is leading the way after day one - Iwan Mills –
Sherco 300.
Overall, a great start to the event and well done to Clerk of Course Adam
Rees and the new Welsh 2 day organising team who have made this great event even
better. The weather forecast looks to be wetter tomorrow which may prove to be
more of a challenge and may well change the final results. Great job to all
concerned and your efforts are really appreciated.
Alex Snow takes the overall win
Wet weather greeted the riders making the going quite slippery during the
morning for Day 2 of the Welsh. Whilst time card penalties still need to be
worked out, based on special test times Alex Snow has taken the overall honours
after a very close battle with Rhayader’s Alex Walton. The event going down to
the wire with Snow gaining an advantage of nearly 16 seconds on the final two
special tests.
Adam James maintained his lead to win the expert class but had a difficult day
after injuring his hand on a stake on second test of the day. He finished the
day just 4 seconds ahead of Ross Danby. Ryan Rowlands managed two days out of
two to top the clubman class.
From the ACU Eastern, Woodbridge Toby Morley managed a great 7th overall in the
very large and competitive clubman class with Thomas Sargent a great 11th and
Ross Taylor 20th. Despite losing a contact lens on test 1, Tim Rose came out top
in the Classic Expert Class with team mate Lewis Bond in 3rd and Braintree’s
Will Hughes in 4th. Great ride by these lads. Results

In the championship class, young Henry Life set the fastest time on the first
lap. However, by the second lap Aaron Gordon had warmed up, winning all the
other timed tests, and finishing the day nearly a minute ahead of anyone else.
In second place was Brad King who also took a few laps to get rolling but upped
the pace when it counted! In third was Bradley Rowland who just managed to fend
off the battling Henry Life and Owen Richards. Details
