Fast Eddy Rock Oil XC Championship
Round 5
Brake Hill Farm
Northants
Paul Edmondson introduced yet another new venue to his ever expanding
range last weekend at the fifth round of the Fast Eddy Rock Oil XC
Championship; Brake Hill Farm, Northants.
Incorporating an existing MX track, large woodland section and a huge
rolling field area the venue had a bit of everything. The MX track was fast
and twisty but quite technical with plenty of whoops and a gully section
running along the bottom of the course while the woodland was mainly flowing
with a handful of tight turns and a hidden table-top jump thrown in to keep
riders on their toes. The course in the open fields swept up and down the
sides of a small valley before re-entering the woods. Report

British
Sprint Enduro Championship Black Dog Wood
The penultimate round of the 2014 British Sprint Enduro Championship found
a new venue at Black Dog Woods near Frome last weekend. The lap consisted
of a hard packed stubble field and long woodland stage. Most of
the riders walked the course through the trees on Friday evening which is a popular pastime with
the locals - if fact Black Dog Woods has quite a doggy reputation. ReportResults Round

n Trail GNCC Scramble Ridgeway dominates heats but Studley wins Battle in
Super Final! Saturday 19th July saw Track n Trail’s first ever Grand National Cross
Country Scramble. Whilst the rest of the country saw thunderstorms and rain,
the sunny conditions at Thorncombe were perfect for riders to make the most
of this exciting, fast and flowing track. Riders were buzzing from the 45
minute blasts across the 3 miles of long wide scramble tracks, over climbs,
descents and stream crossings.
In the Experts, having chased young Matt Ridgeway, on his Mid West Husqvarna,
in the first two heats of the Track n Trail GNCC on the superb, fast and
flowing scramble course H2O sponsored Phil Studley was determined to take
the final and in the end experience won out as he took the final by over 1
minute.
Don’t forget next Freeride 3rd August, when we return to the incredibly
popular course at Scrubs Farm Nr Winchester Post code SO24 0HR. Book a Ride

DirtBike-Action
RETURN TO GISBURN XC Photos ch-images The Dirtbike-Action Return to Gisburn xc weekend was an outstanding
success with a combined total of 280 riders taking part in the weekends
events. The first campers started to trickle in on Friday afternoon, but by
the late evening the camping area was nearly full with a great party
atmosphere. The iconic venue and the very reasonably priced ride all weekend
for £70 brought riders in their hordes proving there’s no need to rip
off, the off road riders with inflated event prices. Saturday’s events got
underway with a practice session starting at 10am finishing 1.30pm. As soon
as it finished the hard working Dirtbike-Action track crew had an hour to
make all the changes necessary for the Extreme event. Details
